Delish vegan options! - Edit
We got the bruschetta without feta and it was absolutely amazing crunchy yet savory. The hummus was pretty good for a pizza place. The vegan pizza was amazing, with follow your heart cheese and a bunch of veggies.

I really wanted to try the pizzas but my budget wasn't feeling it that day so i went for the lunch special which was 2 items for $8. I got a house salad with an herb dressing which was a pretty generous size for a side, i also got the half tofu hoagie which was okay but i found the teriyaki sauce to be too salty, so I wonder if I should've gotten the tempeh. It also got quite soggy after a while so i wish they'd made the tofu crispier and less saucy. But all in all, a filling meal for super cheap. Next time i'd try a slice of vegan pizza instead of the half hoagie

I’m not american and precautionally i asked her a lot about every ingredient if it’s vegan and i ordered „pepperoni“ on my pizza because i thought it’s the vegetable (chili) and even though she realized i’m vegan i got after 1 hour of waiting a pizza with REAL MEAT (Salami). At least they made me a new one, that was quit tasty but had too much salt in the pizza base.
3. they forgot my starter meal, i only got it after asking for it a second time when my family already had their main meal.

Loved building my own pizza and the vibe of the place. Short wait and the server was really helpful. The personal small (10 inch) pizza is great if none of your friends want to have vegan (Follow Your Heart brand) cheese, or you can ask for half of a larger pizza to have different toppings. The tempeh with teriyaki or tofu with buffalo marinade are so good!

Really tasty pizza, got it with vegan cheese, teriyaki tempeh and caramelized onions. Had better vegan cheese on pizza a few times but this one was still delicious. The whole place is a great choice when going out in a group of people with different dietary choices. Staff was really helpful and nice.

wife is vegetarian pizza-lover, son has a gluten sensitivity and i'm vegan – it's rare that a restaurant makes all of us equally happy. mellow mushroom has it all, vegan cheeze and protein (the tempeh is delicious) and a glutenfree crust.

Lots of places fake their enthusiasm for vegan fare but the staff here really seem to get it. Some very good items. Tofu and tempeh available as well as daiya cheese. Worth a shot in a town of v limited pure veggie vegan options

Last night, my sister and I ventured over to the Mellow Mushroom to dine on a pizza of our choice. Natives of New York, we know our pizza and this place has really great pizza. First the thin crust is crisped to perfection, so that with each bite, you get that crunch and satisfaction of biting into a well crafted pizza. We both shared a "make your own" pizza with portobello mushrooms, kalamata olives, roasted red peppers, caramelized onions, and basil on tomato sauce. We opted for no Vegan cheese which is how I prefer to eat my pizza (I'm the type of vegan who likes to eat fresh vegetables and fruits and feel like I am getting my nutrients in). My sis got her 1/2 of the pizza with bacon, and I must admit they did an excellent job making sure that the bacon was actually less than 1/2 of the pizza pie so that my slices were no where near (to an extent) touching hers.

I just arrived in Charleston, SC for a week of training with work. It was about 10 pm on Sunday night when I arrived and I was hungry after passing up all the food options on the airlines (for obvious reasons). Luckily this little gem's kitchen was open until 11 PM even on Sunday!
Read moreI got the Veg Out + pineapple pizza (minus the cheese - I opted out on the Daiya cheese even though they have it) on GF crust. It was delicious! They had many other vegan options including hummus - I will be going back before my stay here is over! :-)

We ate lunch today at the King Street Mellow Mushroom and we both really enjoyed our veganized hoagies. We got the Teriyaki-grilled tofu with grilled mushrooms, onions and green peppers,substituted daya cheese and omitted the Provolone and mayo; and the marinated and grilled tempeh, with grilled mushrooms,onions and green peppers, substituted daya cheese and omitted the Feta and pesto mayo. We asked for a side serving of their tomato sauce, which nicely complimented both hoagies.

My expectations for pizza are a bit higher because of the area I am from, but I will say that the pizza here was decent. Normally I just get cheeseless pizza as a vegan option, but since there was daiya cheese here, I decided to try it. It tasted good, but I've had better. The toppings were very good and the service was great.

We had mediocre service and mediocre tasting food. The pizza was not the worst but could have been so much better. The Greek salad was very different from what I had expected as was the dressing.
