Not SO MANY vegan options - Edit
I visited this taverna encouraged by the many enthusiastic reviews here on HC. Unlike other customers, I found a quite limited array of vegan options. Basically those dishes that just happen to be vegan in Greek cuisine (like fava, dolmadas, tomatoes fritters). In addition they have vegan feta, which means you can enjoy a vegan Greek salad, vegan saganaki. That’s very much appreciated and uncommon, for sure. And they were veeeeery good!

The food is delicious, indeed. But not so many vegan options, at the end of the day. So, worths a visit - esp. the location itself. Food is good, staff is friendly… but the choice is not much wider than most of local tavernas.

Amazing gem of a restaurant in the most gorgeous setting right next to the harbour. We loved the food and especially how veggie and vegan friendly it is. Loads of choices and them menu was very clearly marked and Melina was super helpful. We had tomato fritters (best EVER!), eggplant salad, vine leaves, fries potatoes, fava dip and tomato spaghetti. I had hoed to try the baklava but was so full up I couldn’t manage it! Well done to Melina and the family for creating such a beautiful place. I wanted to give 5 stars but Happy Cow restricts it as it’s not fully veggie.

Staff were so friendly and helpful in pointing out vegan options. 10/10 would recommend the fava dip! Anything on the menu with feta can be made with vegan feta, yum!

One of the best restaurants in Santorini with amazing views and so many great vegan options. Vegan spaghetti bolognese, vegan tomato fritters are a must have and so is the greek salad with vegan feta cheese.

Lovely hidden gem - Edit
We stayed at Mod Santorini, a fully vegan hotel in Thira and they recommended this place. We loved the food. The options on the menu aren’t labelled but the server was so nice and told us everything that was vegan/could be vegan. They made us fava with fresh bread, a delicious eggplant dish, tomato balls and a Greek salad with vegan feta. They can even make vegan moussaka. A must visit if you want to support local, family-run businesses.

The daughter of the owner is vegan and was able to make a fried vegan feta appetizer for us with maple syrup! So good!

Great vegan options by the sea - Edit
Great chilled out spot right on the ocean. Super friendly staff very knowledgable about Veganism and how to make various dishes on the menu vegan. Option to substitute vegan feta for dishes that contain cows feta. When chatting owner mentioned that they would be creating a vegan menu (June 22). Highly recommend checking this place out.

Melinda herself is vegan. Wonderful friendly service, this restaurant has an idilic location and beautiful rustic charm. With a separate vegan menu and a good selection of choices, it should be marked as vegan friendly not just vegan options.

Really enjoyed finding this little gem overlooking a sea view. It feels more like a traditional Greek restaurant than a few we have visited. There was a seperate vegan menu which is always great. Lots of traditional Greek vegan options. Really enjoyed the fava starter

This Taverna is on the Waterfront with the surf lapping at the steps. Staff are exceptionally friendly and very good. The food is brilliant. Typical Greek starters that are complelty vegan. Had a brilliant time.

Loved this place, returned 3 times in our week stay in Santorini. Not a lot of vegan options, but we made a meal out of the appetisers and it was delicious! The fava dip is the best we had. The staff were great too, and even brought us grapes instead of cakes with the bill as they remembered our dietary requirements. Recommend!

We had lunch at Melinas. Although vegan food was not labeled in the menu, the staff helped us to find good options. We enjoyed the veggie pasta as well as the orange salad (substituted feta cheese for avocado) and the charcoal grilled eggplant. We really enjoyed the flavors, so would recommend this place.

You can find the traditional Greek dishes that are vegan: fava, tomato balls, zucchini balls (here they said there is no cheese in it)... we also had a beetroot salad and potatoes. We were still not tired of eating always the same few things....😄it was good.

They have vegan options labeled with a V on the menu, but they have no vegan entrees. We got mashed fava beans, fries, fried zucchini balls, and a green salad. Also the bread is vegan. I used the fava beans as dipping sauce. The salad and fava were pretty good. I normally don't eat much fried food but the other option was starvation.
