Mushrooms are incredible - Edit
Came here after searching for vegetarian food in Melaka, quite a quiet location, and even though we arrived just after it opened, only just managed to get a table as lots were reserved. Staff were very friendly and kind. Food was incredible, especially mushroom dishes, tofu and mock prawns sweet and sour. Very reasonably prices and nice you can get small/ medium/ large portions. Just be warned vegetable curry is quite spicy!
Read morePros: Not lots of mock meat, Lots of mushrooms, Friendly staff and lots of locals
Cons: Not much decoration in restaurant

Wholesome food, lots of options - Edit
A good number of options to choose between, including plenty of vegetable/tofu based ones (rather than mock meat). Service was very quick (though we were the only ones there at the time) and the dishes were cooked well. My only complaint is all 3 that we chose tasted mostly of soy sauce, but for the price and freshness we are willing to accept that. All dishes can be ordered S/M/L. We got 3 small dishes and 1 bowl of rice for 2 people, if you are rather hungry you would probably want 4 small dishes (or to increase the size ordered).

Cons: Flavouring wasn't so exciting, Location is not great to walk to

Love this place - Edit
One of the best places I’ve ever eaten at. Quite heavy on mock meats but there are plenty of other dishes for those who don’t like mock meat. The food is amazing - the best vegan Chinese food I’ve ever had. The mutton rendang in particular is out of this world. Staff are always super friendly and the prices are good for such delicious food. I would honestly eat here every day if I could!

Tasty vegan food, tempeh too! - Edit
This is a little outside the main tourist area but the restaurant is clean and friendly. We had a tempe with okra (ladies fingers) dish, a mock chicken rendang and a sweet and sour bean curd dish - all delicious.

Inexpensive tasty Chinese dishes - Edit
This is typical Chinese vegetarian restaurant that serves the usual stir fry dishes.
Read moreThere are many mock meat dishes. I wasn't avoiding mock meat, but somehow I ended up with 4 dishes that had no mock meat in them: curry veggies, "three cups" brinjal, deep fried lotus root in pumpkin sauce, Kungpao Tofu. I found all the dishes good and tasty, except the kungpao sauce is not quite I am familiar with.
For two of us, the 4 small dishes with rice and Chinese tea, came up to RM55. (which is really cheap by Singapore standards).
The location is a bit far from Jonker street, but it's near Makhota Parade, tucked in a rather desolate neighbourhood. If you are shopping in Mokhota Parade it's worth walking across the road for a good meal.
We walked there from Pahlawan Megamall in about 10 mins.
Pros: Inexpensive, Tasty
Cons: A bit far from Jonker street

Fancier but still inexpensive - Edit
The restaurant is a little bit far from the touristic center but is a good option if you are in this area. They have a lot of choices for dishes to share as well as single portions. The prices are very reasonable. I suggest you to take the ramen. They are delicious.
