I got the Thai salad, I’m really not a salad person but this was sooo good. I’d definitely come back!

Exceeded my expectations! - Edit
Didn’t have the highest of expectations when we walked in - we were hungry with not a lot of options at the time. But the food and service was great. A fair few vegan and vegetarian options. The vegetarian trio was a favorite. You can ask for no aioli for a vegan option.

Delicious lentil loaf - Edit
The lentil loaf experience was very worth the visit to MCS. You do need to specify vegan, but vegan is clearly understood & respected. The place was frequented by a lot of locals while we were there. The service was superb.

Great Lentil Loaf - Edit
We sought out this restaurant after reading the other reviews on Happy Cow. A lentil loaf sounded good & it did not disappoint. It was not too mushy & had a great flavor aided by the veggie gravy. It come with a mixed greens side salad & brown or white rice. This is a pleasant, family owned restaurant. Not too fancy. The staff is friendly & helpful.

Try the vegan meatloaf!! - Edit
They a wonderful vegan meatloaf, very tasty, but you have to get the vegan gravy otherwise the dish is only vegetarian. The wait staff is very knowledgeable about this. Just went yesterday, as residents we drive over there from Kapaa regularly since this dish is so tasty!!

Horrible - Edit
I wish I would have walked out from the beginning. I wanted a mushroom Swiss veggie burger. They insisted on charging me 14.50 for when the normal veggie burger is $12.00 and a meat mushroom Swiss is $13.00. Then I got my food and they veggies burgers is basically a rice patty that just completely fell apart. So for 14.50 I got rice bread fries and a few mushrooms.

Excellent option - Edit
Having stayed in the Waimea Town area in the past, I didn't expect much. But I was so happy to find this place in Hanapepe. Had the lentil-based meatloaf the other night and absolutely loved it. Brought a friend there tonight for it, and they were out. But instead, had the "trio"... we thought it was vegan...it is not. (It's "vegetarian"). But they do also have a vegan burger. And reasonable prices.

very good, would recommend - Edit
Me and my husband ate here and were satisfied on what we ordered. The staff was friendly and helped us out on the options we had, not many, but good choices. They understood what vegan meant, unlike other places think we eat cheese. We ordered the vegetarian meatloaf with rice and a side salad, and my husband ordered the burger. We were both happy with everything and would recommend for anyone in the area.

Great vegan meatloaf! - Edit
This is a nice little spot off the beaten path. When we walked in, there were no tourists, just a lot of locals. This is not a fancy spot by any means, fairly basic interior but the food is amazing. I would call the style Hawaiian comfort food. Their vegetarian meatloaf is actually vegan friendly and is absolutely amazing. The others in my party aren't vegan and loved their dishes as well. The veggie pasta looked amazing and had great sausage, sun-dried tomatoes and spinach. My friend got the chili pepper fried chicken and it's definitely a fire in the hole type of dish. I highly recommend this spot as the service is also great. As a heads up, there is no alcohol, but their ginger spritzer is fantastic.
