Cooking class was the highlight of our trip - Edit
Highly recommend the cooking class. They teach you how to make masaman curry, pad thai, mango salad, fresh rolls, mango sticky rice and more. You also get a copy of all of the recipes so you can make them at home. We learned so much from this class, can't recommend it enough.

Delicious choices - Edit
Love all the different Thai salad options as well as the classic papaya salad - there's banana blossom, green mango, and our favourite, smokey aubergine (eggplant).
Read moreGreen curry, tom yum, tom kha, and the green curry noodles were all delicious.
Nice smoothies.
If you like this place, try the May Kaidee in Chiang Mai which has a similar menu and just as well made but also includes regional specialties and is slightly cheaper.

Cooking school - Edit
We had lot of fun in May Kaidee's cooking school. All dishes were vegan, just in pad thai was optional egg. After course it was hard to choose what was the best dish. I was leaving so full! The peanut sauce, red curry sauce, pad thai, tom yam! All so delitious. I can say the massaman curry they teach us was the best I tasted in all Thailand yet.

Bomb buffet - Edit
After two months of super bland food in the Philippines May Kaidee's saturday buffet was a heaven on earth for me. I think 150bht was very reasonable price for the selection and quality. Three hours after eating and I'm in serious food coma.

Delicious Thai Food and Great Cooking Class - Edit
I went here with my omni father and ordered several dishes. To start I got a Thai iced tea with soy milk - it was a little weak but still good. We also got a green mango salad and fresh Thai roll. The Thai roll came with this amazing sauce and was light and refreshing. The mango salad I wouldn't order again as it was too acidic and had an odd taste.
Read moreThe show stoppers were the pad Thai. My dad said it was the best thing he'd eaten in months! The thick curry was also really good.
I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for vegan food in Bangkok!
ETA I did the one day Thai cooking class today and would highly recommend. Now I feel confident that I can make authentic (ish) Thai dishes at home :)

Great food, try all the thai dishes your carnivore friends talk about - vegan style! I totally recommend the papaya sallad, pumpkin hummus, pad thai, any of the curries... if you have a day to spare, take a cooking class - best invested money ever!

expensive, great food - Edit
Good food, pleasant atmosphere, insane prices! Go for the rice and soup as the “full spread” option is 40 baht more and you get a tiny salad. Much cheaper options available, but a nice splurge

Dope Sauce - Edit
Authentic, quality, with plenty of options. They also offer cooking classes; Would love to have had more of an appetite as I only was able to get through the wakame roll and Tom Kah before throwing in the towel. All of the food around me looked and smelled wonderful. People were stoked. Service is drawn out, but that seemed appropriate. Very Happening spot in a quiet alley behind the BK at the east end of Khoa San, easy to pass by.

Slow service and greasy food - Edit
We were really looking forward to eating at this restaurant as we always support vegan restaurants whenever possible. In Bangkok, we have had the pleasure of eating at Veganerie Concept, Govinda's Italian, Walee Vegetarian, and May Veggie Home, all of which we love. We were expecting similar quality, but unfortunately the food here was just too greasy.
Read moreWe ordered the Coconut soup, Pad See U, and vegetable tempura and we could taste the oil in all dishes. The worst was the vegetable tempura which just seemed saturated with oil, we could only eat a few pieces. Due to the amazing reviews I can only assume it is not like this all the time, but on this night (Dec. 21, 2017) it just wasn't good.
One final gripe that worsened our experience, was the fact that we ordered two Iced Thai Teas at the same time as everything else, but only got them after the Soup and Tempura were served 20 minutes later.
If we make a trip out to the Khaosan Rd area again, we will probably give another vegan restaurant a try.
Pros: Vegan, Reasonably priced, Good location
Cons: Greasy food, Slow service, Unattractive decor

We liked this place, many options, but we acutally had better thai food at a place in Cambodia. But we enjoyed a lot and tried the curry and the rolls. So many places in bangkok so we did not go back a revisit.

OMG GREAT! - Edit
I AM BLOWN AWAY, THEY ARE HAVING ALL YOU CAN EAT BUFFEE FOR 150baht, the flavors are very perfect, and no tiny chilli bombs to light your fire. Not that chilli is bad, but for many falangs, it can be a hot experiance. They have a complete Thai menu and offer there own homemade drinks. i believe there are a few May Kaidees in bankok and chaing mai.

The Buffet!!! - Edit
I'm a fat vegan, and have been to my share of vegan buffets. This is placed in my top 3 of all time for sure. Everything was very very tasty. And a good variety to choose from too. They do the buffet once a week, Saturday at 6, for 150 BHT per person. I usually come here for the Panang curry for lunch which is phenomenal! But this was my first for the buffet. I will definitely back!

We had a delicious massaman curry followed by deep fried banana with chocolate and honey. Our first time trying deep fried banana which we loved - we haven't found anywhere that does it better than May Kaidee!
