Not Lots of Options but Delicious Options! - Edit
Vegan green fried tomatoes!! Honestly - do I need to say more? Okay, I will. 😂
Read moreWe had a great server who talked to the kitchen for us to make sure what we ordered was vegan. We had the appetizer of the fried green tomatoes - delicious. I can’t remember the last time I had some!
For the entrees, my partner ordered the tofu bbq sandwich but unfortunately they were out of vegan bread that day. Instead he got bbq tofu with green beans, and rice and beans. The bbq sauce was delish and I ate most of his tofu. Oops!
For my entree, I ordered the veg jambalaya - vegan as is. This was really tasty and a HUGE portion. We took a lot of it home. The tofu in this dish was spiced perfectly.
The drinks here are also bomb.
We will be back!

Not vegan, mediocre flavor - Edit
Only 3 things vegetarian you can order: bbq 'wings', bbq sandwich w/fries, or bbq 'ribs' w/mashed potatoes and veggies. Also, had reservations and still had to wait when I got there...

Nice place - Edit
203 days till mardi gras! nice southern charm. outdoor seating. 2 floors. what I would think is a ship scale to add to the vibe. Good beer. Tasty bbq sauce. Good tatters. delish mac and cheese. Been here twice 8 months apart. now my go to place in the area.

Awesome tofu spicy wings - Edit
I really like this place. They have plenty of choices for a vegetarian and I suggest the tofu wings!

Truly comfort food - Edit
The Pommarita is the best cocktail in the world. The Cajun fries are the most fantastic thing I've ever shoveled into my face. The sweet potato fries are the best balance of creamy and crispy, salty and sweet. The jambalaya is spicy, filling, packed with smoked tofu (is there anything better?) and is served on a platter that can feed at least 3 people. I love you, Maxie.

Excellent food, casual and contemporary place. - Edit
I've been to this place more than a few times and always was served deliscious food, made with fresh ingredients and terrific seasonings. The desserts are to die for!! Although it is casual it is also contemporary and classy- an ecletic mix of people. Definatley a place to go for dinner, a drink or coffee and dessert. Yumm!!!!!
