Lovely South Indian restaurant - Edit
I came here with a friend and we shared two starters and two mains. One starter was idly and I can't remember what the other one was called. I thought the starters were alright but what made the meal memorable, were the main dishes and the excellent service. Staff are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. As main meals we ordered the veggie curry, which was delicious, and my absolute favourite, an aubergine dish that was just so full of flavour!

I'm always grateful for a separate vegan menu and Maveli's doesn't disappoint. A good variety of options and everything I've tried so far has been tasty. Reasonably priced too!

Read moreThey had a whole vegan section in the menu with plenty of options so I was spoilt for choice😍I ended up getting the Kabuli Channa Curry with chappathis, and tried some of my friend’s vegetable rice too.
All the food was gorgeous, generous portions and very reasonably priced. Would definitely return again - staff were also very helpful when we were deciding what to order.

We had takeaway from here during lockdown. It was a tiny bit greasy but not the worst and relatively average. All in all not a bad choice, but nothing mind blowing. However, I can’t speak for how it is as a sit-down restaurant.

Went to Maveli last night for the first time with 3 vegetarians. However, we all ordered from the vegan menu which gives you options over two sides of A4, probably about 20 vegan dishes! We were spoilt for choice. Food was delicious, arrived quickly and so many options.

We've been meaning to visit Maveli's for a while but finally got here today. You have to ask for the vegan menu but when it came we were really impressed by the amount of choice.We had poppadums and pickles to start, and were really impressed - this is before even ordering! The pickles were homemade chutneys and gorgeous. For starter we had Sundal (like a hot chickpea salad) and Cauliflower Varuval (deep fried cauliflower and more chutney) both amazing. For mains we had a big Rava Masala Dosa, Keerai Kootu (some kind of spinachey thing) and mushroom rice. All amazing. Only sorbet for pudding, but we'll definitely be back soon.
