One day of the week, strings of vendors and farmers gather here to sells their goods. Find fresh fruit and vegetable, prepared Filipino food, kimchi, Hawaiian shirts and woodwork, fresh coconut juice, and miscellaneous things. Open Sat 7:00am-12:00pm.
We came here expecting to find a lot of fruits and maybe some vegan treats. It was majority vendors (think flea market) selling stuff. There were a few cool jewelers that sold their own handmade jewelry and some fruit stands, but for the most part it was very much flea market vibes. You do have to pay to get in and they did require masks which I appreciated!
On our last trip to Maui, our friends brought us here so we could buy some fresh local fruit like papaya, coconut, and avocados. At a swap meet?!
It's a good size marketplace with around 10 vendors selling fresh produce, and so many more vendors selling other goods from plants and jewelery to artwork and Hawaiian shirts. We got lunch from the Korean food vendor and ate it on the grass outside in another area of the grounds.
The only upset for me was that most of the food vendors sold meat stuff (lots of Filipino food).
By the way, it cost us 50 cents per person to get in.
