Solid options

I came here with a big group as the only vegan and ordered a veggie combo. They asked if we wanted to plate everything together and I requested that the veggie combo be kept separate, which they did. Overall the food was good. The shiro and gomen wot were my favorites since they had the most flavor. The Atakilt was comparatively a bit bland. I did not enjoy the experience of having to eat mostly on my own while watching and smelling others chowing down on flesh. I might stick to doing this kind of meal with friends who will eat vegan.

Ethiopian Food Is Always Good

And this place is no different. I ordered the veggie platter via delivery and everything was delicious.

Yummy!

My partner and I had the veggie combo and really enjoyed it. We just stopped for something on our way back to his family’s place when most places were closing or closed and were very happy with the food

Pros: Open late, Delicious , Friendly staff

Excellent Eritrean / Ethiopian Food

Today I went looking for Eritrean food and was excited to find Massawa. I had the Massawa Veg Combo for one and it was wonderful. The restaurant is very easy to park near, is very handicap friendly, has wonderful food, and the staff was very friendly. The Vege Combo I had today had Misser Wot, Kik, Atakilte Alicha, and the Gomen and the food came out fairly quickly. The restaurant itself has very simple decor but is nice for casual dining, and is very easy to find. I'm also looking forward to going back and trying the Okra and Shiro dishes at some point. I'd recommend going there for a longer lunch with friends when you can enjoy the tea and talk.

Pros: Really good food, friendly staff, large portions

Cons: Noisy at times.
