Top quality food

Really struggled to find anywhere in vicinity of sidmouth with decent vegan options for an evening meal with an old friend, then came across the menu at the Mason's Arms - not much choice, but it sounded good. What a find! The pub itself is quaint, cosy and full of character. There was a bruschetta starter, which I passed on, opting instead for a main and a pud - good choice! There were two mains - a burger (boring choice) and a pea and shallot ravioli. I chose the latter and it was delicious - best vegan pasta dish I've ever had. I then had the vegan Summer pudding with chantilly cream, which was also very tasty. A little on the pricey side, but I would say it was all made in-house and would definitely return for a special occasion.

Pros: Very tasty food, Nice atmosphere

Cons: A bit pricey , Only two non-alcoholic beers, both big brand lager

Fantastic

Just had the banana blossom “fish” and chips, it was utterly delicious. The pub was so lovely and cosy and it’s in a really picturesque area. Would highly recommend,

Hidden gem

Such a great find! Found this beautiful little cottage pub on the way to Sidmouth. The staff were very friendly and went out their way to serve us after only having one kitchen staff and having a large booking. We both had the vegan fish and chips made for banana blossom, which was amazing and would highly recommend!

Pros: Amazing fish and chips , Very cute cottage pub, Dog friendly

Cons: Not many options
