SO DElicious! 16 Vegan menu items! - Edit

We found Masala Cottage at the ocean beach night farmers market. The clearly mark the vegan curries: Tarka daal (lentil) and Chana masala (chickpea). We got the 2 curry & rice combo with lentil & chickpea curries. The rice was yellow, so I’m guessing it was turmeric and maybe even possibly a touch of saffron? Whatever it was - the rice was delicious.

The curries were also delicious. Super flavorful. The Chana masala was slightly sweet, delicious rich tomato flavour. The tarka daal was so hearty and also incredibly flavorful.

They were sold out of veggie samosas so we got the spinach. I’d never had a spinach samosa before but I’m so glad they were sold out of the veggie samosas because the spinach was sooooo good! We loved it.

I get cravings for Indian food once in awhile and I was wondering how yummy this place would be seeing as the food at the farmers market wasn’t made on the spot. But it was so good and I can only imagine that the food at their restaurant is just as good or better.

I saw on their menu that they have TONS of vegan items on their menu at the restaurant. 8 types of vegan curries that come with rice or naan. And 8 different types of vegan samosas! Plus a veggie wrap that can be made vegan.

This place is such a gem and we will definitely be back for more and are excited to go to the restaurant.
