Good food but lacking service - Edit

I will start by saying the food here is lovely. The flavours, the range of vegan options and the portions sizes are big positives. The decor, vibe and ample seating are all also really impressive.

But the same can’t be said for the service or the way feedback is handled by management.

We ordered the biryani on the vegan menu only for them to come back and tell us that we had to pick something else because the dish had animal products in it.

We said it was on the vegan menu and they told us it was because the chef already made it for the day (and essentially couldn’t be bothered to make another batch just for us) that we had to select something different.

Mind you, we were one of three other groups in the restaurant so they were not at all busy and we specifically came here for this dish.

Needless to say, we were very disappointed. And after looking at the reviews online, the way feedback is handled by management is also very unprofessional.

Unfortunately the nice food won’t be enough to bring me back here for quite some time.

Pros: Extensive vegan menu, Large dining room, Elegant decor

Cons: Poor service , Incorrectly labeled menu

I’ve been meaning to try here. Very disappointing that they refused to make your preferred dish. If it’s on the vegan menu then they should be prepared to make it on request.
