Serves meat, vegan options available. Small cafe serving typically 2 or so mains each day along with salads. Vegan options could include soup and a falafel salad. The cafe also acts as the Centre's meeting place, and as an art gallery. Reported closed October 2024.

Great, inexpensive no fuss vegan lunch near British Museum, Russell Sq, Holborn - Edit
I had lunch here in June 2019. The cafe is located on the ground floor of an imposing building where adult eductaion is provided. There are steps up to the main Georgian door which was closed. It looks like an office or someone's home so be bold and open it. There is level access by using the side entrance on Old Gloucester Street.
Read moreYou queue up at the counter and can see the food which is all clearly marked. There was at least one vegan main and I had beans, squash and couscous with a side salad. It was good value for money. It is sit-where-you-can. I didn't have any problem finding somewhere to sit although you will probably be sharing a table.
Pros: Tasty nutritous food, Vegan items clearly marked, Great value for this location
Cons: I don't mind however, some may not like to share a table

Good value - Edit
Always good value, normally one or two of the three dishes on offer are vegan. Staff are friendly and efficient. It can get busy at lunchtime, expect to share a table, but is good for a no frills early dinner.

Dat value - Edit
Probably the cheapest place you're going to see in London. Didn't have a main dish, but they looked good (little discounts on takeout f you bring a container). Cake was okay; just wanted something a bit sweet after the museum, whereupon it delivered.

Great choice of delicious food - Edit
Lots of tasty, healthy vegan and vegetarian food. The vegan coffee, banana and caramel cake is the best vegan cake I've ever had, and the hot savoury and salad options are great too.

Adorable Place - Edit
I was so pleased to discover this little gem. When I had my appointment at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, I was convinced there'd be nothing I could eat that day. Then I found this place!
Read moreThey were absolutely lovely in there. I told them that I'm both vegan and have coeliac disease, so immediately, the kind man led me to some delicious potato cakes that were absolutely bursting with flavour!
All in all, a delicious place and a really good find.
Pros: Delicious Food, Accommodating Staff, Great Value

Vegetarian cafe with some vegan food - Edit
The cafe has re-opened after the summer break. I ate there this evening and had a very nice vegan pie with loads of vegetables, and a vegan cake for dessert.

Pleasant vegetarian cafe - Edit
Located in cosmopolitan, historic Queens Square, this vegetarian cafe is a welcome retreat from the meaty offerings of London pubs in its immediate environment. I it gets crowded at lunchtimes, so early arrival is wise. I always eat there when in London. However, on my latest boat (July 2014) it was closed for a summer break. It is allied with the rhythms of the Mary Ward centre, and educational institution.

Cons: Closed for summer holidays, Vegetarian rather than vegan, so check

A nice find - Edit
This is a pleasant and inexpensive place. There aren't many options, but the food is good and very generous for the price. A nice stop merely a block away from the bustle and mediocrity of Southampton Row with easy access to Russell Square.
