Excellent location, good food. - Edit
Very close to the Senso-ji temple, a bit too western-organic-oriented. I had the tempura bowl which was amazing, ideal if you want a break from the vegan Ramen routine

Wow, what a place to go! - Edit
The service was lovely, the food was perfect, the atmosphere was cozy, and we were even given a free brochure of all the vegan restaurants in Tokyo! If you're vegan and you're in the area, this place cannot be missed! We each ordered the "Lunch Plate 3." Our meals were: avocado with mushrooms, falafel, curry, and rice; fried soymeat, curry, tempura vegetables, and bread. Everything was even better than we expected. Highly recommend!

Vegan tempura - Edit
I was happy to find vegan tempura in Tokyo. I would have liked some soy sauce and wasabi with my dish, otherwise good.

Beautiful Vegan Cafe with Rustic Decor 🌱 - Edit
Read the Vegan Tokyo Guide on https://itravelforveganfood.com/vegan-tokyo-guide/
Read moreThe Farm Cafe is a vegan cafe in Asakusa. It’s located next to the Sumida River and you can even see the Tokyo Skytree from the cafe.
They serve assorted plates, bowls, burgers and desserts. I opted for the plate with 3 dishes – Tempura, fried soy meat and curry. It also comes with either rice or bread. The food tastes good and seasoned well. The tempura would be even better if it’s more crispy.
The cafe has a rustic laid-back vibe with beautiful natural shaped wooden tables. The staff is also very helpful and friendly.
Pros: All vegan, Beautiful decor
Cons: Tempura is not crispy

Cozy and chill - Edit
A super chill cafe in a great location close to Asakusa. We had two lunch plates - one with fried soy meat, potato wedges, avocado stuffed with mushrooms and a side of bread, and the other with tempura, falafel, mini curry and a side of rice. The food was excellent, I only found the curry just a bit bland. It’s a great place to relax or people watch. I will definitely come back again!

Really nice vegan place with awesome focaccia burgers. I had the falafel burger and my partner the avocado, both amazing. I also had to try the matcha ice cream dessert - really good as well! Very friendly staff and cozy little restaurant.

Amazing - Edit
Amazing food. Everything we got was great, even the coffee! The avocado sandwich was probably the best we’ve ever had. Great location as well. We got the chance to talk to the owner for a bit and she was so nice. We asked her what made her want to open her own vegan restaurant in the heart of Tokyo, and she said that she is vegan and noticed that there weren’t many options for vegans in japan and so she decided to open her own.

For when you need the delicious familiar - Edit
Some of my vegan staples include hummus, avocado and falafel and it’s been hard in Japan without easy access to these things. Maybe it’s me but I don’t seem to be able to find hummus anywhere? How delighted I was to see homemade hummus on the lunch menu. I took the recommended set with avocado, hummus and falafel served with focaccia. It was delicious. The avocado was served with the most incredible mushroom pate with chilli oil. The hummus was creamy and garlicky. The falafel was crunchy and well spiced with a tahini dressing. The focaccia was crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside.
Read moreThe restaurant is small and the food is cooked fresh and to order so there’s a bit of a wait, but it’s well worth it. I will definitely return.
Pros: Fully vegan menu , Delicious food, Great service
Cons: Limited seating , Waiting times can be long (tho worth it)

Cool, hippy vibe and good food - Edit
Friend and I stopped in before braving the crowds at Sensoji and it fortified us beautifully. The food was prepared with care and attention. The flavors good. The staff courteous and had enough English to help supplement my miniscule Japanese skills.
Read moreI had something with half an avocado filled with sauted mushrooms. The cherry tomatoes in my friend’s sandwich were so ripe and luscious that we became obsessed. I will admit that the tempura veggies were not hot and that diminished my enjoyment of them, but they were still good.
There is a hostel adjacent to the cafe, so guests with suitcases did trickle through, which was a little awkward.

Pros: Creative, tasty food, Lovely view towards riverr, Convenient to station

Picturesque and Delicious - Edit
Lovely little set up along Sumida river. It had a really nice feeling to the cafe! You can order small, tapas size separate meals or get the lunch sets, where you get 3 of the meal options and a side of bread or rice. You have to try the falafel and the icecream there! Absolutely amazing. The staff member is very lovely and accommodating. I would (and definitely will) go out of my way to eat here again!

Lovely cafe by the river with awesome vegan food - Edit
For our vegan and non vegan friends, I highly recommend a stop at the farm cafe. It has a lovely setting by the river and the food is awesome and very creative. A great experience! Please support this lovely vegan cafe owner to help expand the vegan opportunities in Tokyo which are still far and few. We wish the farm cafe great success and we know it is going to happen very fast as the vegan wave is now rushing every where around the world!!!!

Delicious Food - Edit
The food was awesome.
Read moreThe location is also really great; you can see the Skytree from inside the restaurant.
The staff was welcoming and friendly. The portion size could be a bit too small for some. (You often have those serving sizes in Japan)
The price would be the only negative thing I‘d say about this place (Lunchset was 1600¥ and a large ricebowl with Fried Soy Meat was 1380¥), BUT if you do not plan on eating here everyday, you absolutely should visit this place at least once.
Pros: Delicious food, Location, Staff
Cons: A bit pricey

Amazing Food and a Great View - Edit
Had a wonderful lunch at The Farm Cafe. I had the Soy meat rice bowl, while my husband opted for the 3 Piece Lunch Set. We thoroughly enjoyed them both. We even treated ourselves to the Chocolate Mousse which had a hint of Sake in. Staff were wonderful and very attentive. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting Japan.

Came for breakfast, stayed for lunch - Edit
We went to The Farm Cafe in Asakusa because we happened to be in the area. But had we known how great this place is, we would gladly have crossed Tokyo to visit. We ordered three dishes and all were close to perfect. Here is why.
Read moreWe started with a breakfast bowl of fruit and acai seeds and it was spot on. Rich in taste, but not too sweet. The fruits are obviously of high quality, making every bite enjoyable.
The atmosphere at the Farm Cafe is so relaxing that we kept chatting and eventually it was time for lunch, so we ordered again. The fake-meat bowl is nutritious and really fills the stomach. The fake-meat differs from the kind that other restaurants use. It's less tofu like and more chewy. All ingredients seem to be of the highest quality: they are rich in taste and structure. The tempura dish is only slightly fried, so the original taste of the vegetable or mushroom is preserved, making it tasty and more healthy than other tempura.
The Farm Cafe is easy to find, it's not located on an upper floor and can easily be seen from the street. It has very limited seating, but the owner informed us that business so going so well that they'll soon expand with a second floor of seating. In the end there's only one thing wrong with The Farm Cafe: they are only open for breakfast and lunch, no dinner. If they did, we'd stay all day!
