Holy f*%# this is some of the best vegan food I have ever had in my life. Got the coleslaw, macncheeze, and the Thai sweet chili wingz. Everything was delicious, high quality, and overall incredible. I come to the city every few months and just discovered this place. Will be attending every time I visit. Amazing!

Marty really perfected the housemade burger patty. Often times I opt for Beyond in places with a choice because the housemade burgers are usually too soft to my liking. These are the perfect balance of tender with a crispy edge. Original World Famous with slaw topper is the number one burger in my opinion. Bunnicula, No Clucks Given and CBR are amazing too. All the fries are great and my husband always gets the wings.

For me the world famous burger tasted exactly like a Big Mac at McDonald's, which I really liked. The mushroom burger was good too but a bit dry. It was quite cheep for New York prices, so don't miss this place!

Well I called by having forgotten I'd previously visited and reviewed it in 2019! So I'll leave the original 3* review below. Today I had the BLT, which was large and tasty, though the lettuce was yellowed and had clearly seen better days. And the annoying tip demand for counter service is still there, albeit the server wasn't so bad this time. I might give it another go in another four years!
Read moreFrom 11/2019: I had the crab cake burger. Imagine a McDonald's cheeseburger, about two thirds the size. Or a Filet O Fish, about half the size. For over $10. And then the server has the nerve to switch the iPad round into your face to add a tip - 15%, 20% or 25% - for frankly pretty rude and unengaging counter service! What a joke. It was nice, but what an absolute rip off. It's not even in a good part of town.

I've been eating at this place for years. It's hands down the best vegan fast food in nyc at a very reasonable NYC price. Quality ingredients, fast delivery time, always finger licking and wishing for more kinda good. So many options and impossible to go wrong. If they ever close I will be devastated.

I REALLY appreciate a good ol' burger joint...and that's what Marty's is. Written menu on the top, cozy dining area (closed due to COVID mandates, had seats outside tho), and just BURGERS (and other options). But I went with their Original World Famous Burger (Big Mac vibes), Hot Chick (their spicy aioli, 😚👌🏾) and a bag of fries....GOTTA LOVE bag fries. 😍 All hella tasty, 5 stars for...sure.

The food:
Read more- World Famous: house patty with melted cheddar, special sauce, pickles and lettuce. $8.50 and can make it a double for an additional $4.50. Can also be turned into a combo (fries + drink) for $13. This was definitely a winner. The burger and sauce were A+, the lettuce was crispy. My dad (who is not a vegan yet) always feels sick after burgers and he said even though it tasted "just like a burger" (newsflash: it is a burger) he didn't feel sick at all. Win.
- Crabby Patty: Do you like crab? Get this. Do you not like crab? Do not get this. End of review.
- Fries: Pretty small package, but deliciously crispy.
- Cole Slaw: fresh, recommended given everything else is heavy.
- Mac and cheese: fine, but nothing to write home about.
- Raspoutine: Maybe the winner of them all, was the poutine. Pretty hefty serving of crispy fries with cheese, onions, and sauce.
Other notes:
It's a small burger joint, so there's limited seating at the bar, maybe four seats. We were kind of hoping to eat around the bar but had 6 people and were asked (kindly) to exit after getting our food. Just be aware if you're coming with a larger party. We decided to eat at Madison Square Park only a few blocks away.
