Surprisingly good selection!

In addition to the normal grocery staples, they had a surprising selection of vegan sandwiches and deli items. The curry tofu salad was incredible and the vegan breakfast sandwich made a decent meal for the next day. Options are pretty limited in the area, so it was nice to stock up on snacks to have handy!

Super cute & great vegan food

Such a cute co-op right in town. A nice layout with many delicious vegan treasures. Also includes an aisle of UP gifts and souvenirs. I bought a loaf of country Italian bread and it was amazing!!

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Premade vegan cooler options, Fun souvenirs

Cons: Somewhat pricey, Does have non-vegan deli

Massive selection of foods plus other things!

We came here a couple times during our stay. It is much larger than I was expecting, with fridge, freezer, pantry, confectionary, household items, fresh, alcohol, butcher, merchandise and zero waste sections. We even got firewood here and saw a little bakery stall set up outside one day. A little expensive but as expected from a coop.

Really good selection!

This place was like heaven after eating PB&Js out of our car or the less great options in other parts of the UP.

Pros: Tons of options, really healthy

Cons: A bit pricey but not more than eating out

Some vegan options

Quite a few vegan options in their cold deli section and hot bar - tastes fresh and is mostly all made in house. Mostly everything is organic and some is locally sourced during the summer months. Bulk food section has a lot of variety. MFCO is usually the first grocery store to introduce vegan items that are new to the market. Cons - Some days they have mostly all vegan options in their hot bar, other days they have none. It would be great if they consistently had a certain amount of options to prevent a wasted trip there. There are a lot of vegan grocery items - unfortunately everything is 2 times $ markup, making it difficult for the average local to afford to shop here.

Pros: Organic, fresh

Cons: Expensive - inconsistent options

Amazing

The Marquette Food Co-op is a great place to get vegetarian and vegan replacement food options. They have a huge bulk section which I was amazed at.The Co-op also animal non tested makeup which today is really hard to find. The only complete I have is the Co-op has some high prices items so do your shopping and be careful of this. Other then that I love the Co-op.

Pros: vegetarian and vegan food, vegetarian makeup, bulk , Food

Cons: Hight prices be careful

My go-to grocery store

This is where I do the bulk of my grocery shopping. Great produce, excellent bulk foods section, beer and wine, and personal care items. The hot bar and salad bar usually have a good selection of clearly labeled vegan items, as well as a number of items in the deli section. The Vegan Breakfast Sandwich is my favorite - if the sandwich press is still open they'll make it fresh and grilled, otherwise you can usually get it from the cold deli case. There is a cafe area with wifi and Sunday mornings they feature an acoustic brunch with local musicians and brunch specials (usually a few vegan items like breakfast potatoes or tofu scramble). In the summer there is sidewalk seating too. Love this place!

Pros: Reasonable prices, Good fresh produce, Deli has rotating items

Cons: Limited parking in lot, Some days they run out of vegan items quickly, Only one vegan cake and one vegan cookie

Great Choice, Great Selection and Fair Prices

Visited and stocked up on a few items. Their prices were reasonable and they have a huge selection of staples and vegan products. Had some pretty good tofu from the hot buffet and was glad to have found the co-op as they had moved from the listed address on here.

Pros: Easy Parking, Large Selection, Fair Prices
