Delicious, healthy local food - Edit
The food here is very tasty, freshly made and is vegetable-based, so it is very healthy. We went there as a group of three and tried everything of the menue and liked everything very much. It is a bit pricey tho and portions are not that big (we didn‘t really have lunch that day and walked a lot - two of us still were a little hungry even after having a starter and a maindish). What I really loved was that they had a good non-alcoholic wine😄

Amazing Sunday brunch - Edit
I came here a while ago but never left a review!! Me and my friends came here on a Sunday and we got a brunch / tasting menu thing where we got to try multiple dishes! Was a bit expensive but definitely worth the price

A bit expensive but nice - Edit
Very nice atmosphere and very cool staff, kind and funny. BUT it's expensive and the portions are small. I would go it more often if the portions were adapted to prices.

One of my favourite places in Marseille! - Edit
The menu here is fresh, local, organic & seasonal & boy does it taste good! It’s such a joy seeing a vegan restaurant rely on vegetables rather than meat replacements as the star of the dish. On weekends they do a brilliant 4 course brunch for 26 euros. Highly recommended #Veganuary

Nice little vegan spot - Edit
Nice spot at the back of Cours Julien, a lively place in the evening. Very friendly staff. Small menu that changes regularly. All their suppliers are local. Would definitely recommend as one of the top vegan places in Marseille!

Wow! - Edit
If you're looking for something special, mariposas is a perfect option. The staff was really friendly and presented the menu to all of the guests individually. The menu changes regularly. Definitely no 0815 restaurant. I enjoyed every dish we had. Really a unique experience. When you're visiting Marseille, this is a must-see.. ehm eat. 🥰

A gem to find in Marseille after struggling to get anything that wasn't fries everywhere else. Staff helpful and friendly with good English. I would definitely return and try the rest of the menu!

Happy healthy food - Edit
I ordered the potato galette with grilled veggies, which was brilliant flavor wise. There is very obviously a huge focus on the ingredients themselves and dishes were also really vibrant both visually and on the palate.
Read moreAs other reviews have already mentioned the portions are fairly small for the price and I definitely could have had more before I was full. It’s located in a bustling area in Marseille with a lot of restaurants and bars.

Small portions, but tasty - Edit
I can only repeat what the other reviews already said: My food was tasty, but what I got felt like little more than half a portion. I had to order a dessert to feel somewhat satiated. Given the price, that's why I'm not giving five stars.
Read moreThe location is quite nice, right in Cours Julien. The square where Mariposas is located was full of dining and chatting people.
The menu was not available in english (just written on a chalk board), and it was hard to decipher, especially without knowing french. In the end I just ordered something random, which turned out to be good.
Pros: Tasty food, Nice location
Cons: small portions, especially for the price, Menu not available in english

Food made with love - Edit
The restaurant is situated in what I think it Marseille's most vibrant area. There is no printed menu, just one chalkboard passed around between tables, and even if you read French it can be hard to read the items, so it's mandatory you ask the wait staff to help out there. We went with a Galette (potato pancake) with some ratatouille type toppings, and a middle-eastern dish whose name I do not remember. They were tasty and healthy, you can tell they focus on whole foods and avoid any processed ingredients. Although as with most "healthy vegan" restaurants, I left not feeling really full.

Pros: Healthy food, Nice location in a vibrant area
Cons: Food doesn't really fill you up, You need to wait your turn for a hard to read menu, One staff a lot less friendly than the other

Tasty - Edit
I did enjoy this meal however I didn't think it was outstanding. Struggled with the menu as it's hand written and in French (obviously) but I couldn't read the words to translate them. Luckily we were saved by our French speaking neighbours. Two of our meals were served cold which I wasn't expecting and didn't love. It's insanely popular which is good to see. The pudding was perfect though, including peach ice cream!!

Good For Sharing - Edit
We were a group of three and ordered seven main dishes and two desserts to share. While each dish tastes fine on its own, it's the variety of dishes and how they complement each other that elevate this restaurant to a 5-star experience

I think this restaurant is a fantastic choice for a gathering with friends. However, I would advise making a reservation in advance, as it tends to be quite popular, especially during peak hours.

Must go - Edit
First lunch here in Marseille was amazing. I got the galette (pancake) and highly recommend. The Saint German Spritz was also so refreshing on a hot day and the French cocktail. Was a little pricey and also minimal English so brush up on your French.
