The vegan "souvlaki" is not souvlaki

Went here on a Friday evening as I was craving some good Greek food.
I ended up ordering the vegan souvlaki for £16.

I expected something a bit more substantial than some grilled mushrooms, courgette and aubergine. The chips, salad leaves and houmous it came with were OK. The vegetables tasted nice enough, but charging the same price for that as for a chicken or pork souvlaki is quite cheeky, and borders on being insulting.

The staff were friendly and polite enough, so I'm giving a star for that and an additional star as the taste of the food was decent.

If I went back, I definitely wouldn't waste my money on the souvlaki but might order some of the meze dishes which are naturally vegan and hope they can get those ones right.

My advice to the restaurant would be to at least specify that the "souvlaki" is really just grilled vegetables, and to adjust the price according to the costings to make it fair to those who order it.

Overall, it's a decent restaurant, but for a vegan there are far better options in this area of Cardiff.

By far the poorest excuse of a meal I’ve ever seen

My friend really wanted Greek so we decided to get a take out. Online there wasn’t much of a description as to what the vegan meal was but there wasn’t many options so I went with Vegan Souvlaki. The chips weren’t cooked in the slightest (attached picture is after I’d put them in the oven myself when I got home) they had no flavour so I left them. It’s 2021, a few grilled unseasoned vegatables should not be the only thing a restaurant is able to offer. No sauce just a bit of hummus that I ate with the half a pita the meal came with. £12 for some hummus and pitta (as the rest of the food I couldn’t even convince the dog to eat) is a joke. If you can’t cater for vegans that’s fine, I would have happily gone else where from my friend but don’t include a vegan option to then do a shocking job at it. Easily would have given this place 0 stars if I could (although the photo I got out of it is slightly funny due to the fact it’s just that bad so I’ll let them have the 1 star for the comedic element)

Pros: None

Cons: Everything
