Huge vegan section - Edit
I love having lunch in Marcelino and look at the sea. They have a big list of vegan burgers with tofu, seitan, etc, and they are all delicious! They also have a few starters, but I always save space for the burgers and chips 🤭. I really recommend this place.

Amazing food. Lots of different choices of Vegan burgers some really inventive too not had before and even the side salad served in an edible bowl. Big portions. My partner is not Vegan but even he enjoyed his food and has now suggested we eat here every night of our holiday. There are meat options too. Brocoli nuggets were very yummy worth trying.

They have about 20 different veggie options I would say (burgers, steaks etc). All of which could be made vegan with vegan cheese instead, and sometimes using a different sauce. They also have nice fresh juices and the ambiance is great; good surfer vibes. Keep in mind that if you want to sit outside, you should make a reservation the day before, because it's a very popular place. My plate of food was very tasty! The prices are very reasonable!

it has as many vegetarian options as the meat ones and they’re not more expensive, as many restaurants in portugal love to do. they’re super affordable and well served, the food tastes amazing and you can see it’s made with love!! oh and they also give you the option to veganize most vegetarian dishes. apart from that, marcelino is amazing, the energy, the beach view, the staff is super nice as well. you cannot come to costa and not got there, especially during the sunset💗

Restaurante na praia com muitas opções vegan - Edit
Trata-se de um bar /restaurante situado na Costa da Caparica, com imensas mesas e uma ótima esplanada com vista para o mar. O menu é muito generoso, em termos de opções vegetarianas e vegan, e fomos impecavelmente atendidos. Decidimos começar com uma tempura de vegetais (5€) que estava muito saborosa. A dose é generosa, os legumes estavam bem fritos, sem excesso de gordura, e eram variados. Em seguida, provámos o bife de seitan com molho de mostarda (10€), que vem acompanhado por arroz e salada, e o prego à Marcelino (8,5€), com queijo vegan e batatas fritas. As doses estavam super bem servidas, as batatas fritas pareciam caseiras e estava tudo extremamente saboroso. Arrisco-me a dizer que o prego foi o melhor que comi, desde que sou vegan: o bife de seitan estava temperado no ponto e o queijo combina muito bem com os espinafres salteados. O bife de seitan foi também um sucesso, e o arroz estava delicioso, podendo apenas o molho ser menos intenso (por ser feito com grãos de mostarda). No geral, adorámos a experiência e iremos regressar, principalmente tendo em conta a quantidade de pratos disponíveis no menu! Fica a dica para quem quiser colocar o pé na areia e desfrutar de uma boa refeição vegetariana.

We weren’t expecting to stumble on this gem with an insane amount of vegan options and burgers (and more) made from beans; tofu or seitan. Food was so different and delicious and with an incredible view of the ocean - perfect!!!

They have many vegetarian and some vegan options. All veg options can be made vegan by swapping the cheese for vegan cheese. Although I’ve never had their vegan cheese, they’re always out! 🤔

Strong Vegan Flavours at the Beach - Edit

Read moreCosta da Caparica has a very poor offer when it comes to vegan food, and this place happens to be right at the beach with an amazing view and a big vegan menu. And when I say big, I mean they have more different options than a lot of vegan-only restaurants.
As for the food itself, we tried the Red Bean Bruger and the Pica Pau Misto and they were both really good and the portions were huge. However, and even though the food was tasteful for me, I wouldn't recommend these dishes in particular for someone who doesn't like strong tasting food. But considering the amount of delicious looking options on the menu, I'm sure there are simpler, lighter, dishes.
Overall it was a great experience and we will for sure come back to try the rest of the menu!
(Numa nota à parte, e como feedback: O prato de pica-pau, apesar de estar delicioso, beneficiava muito de um arrozinho ou batatas a acompanhar, mesmo que a dose viesse um pouco menor. De resto tenho apenas a dar os parabéns pelo menu e atendimento!)

As all the other vegan places around Costa Da Caparica this one was also absolutely great! I can highly recommend that place for dinner with non-vegan friends. Great vegan options, great staff and a great view! We have been there on a Saturday around 8:30pm. There were many free tables and we had to wait for our food about 15mins.

The app would not allow me to rate as 5 stars because the restaurant also serves meat. Despite this the vegan choices here were vast, absolutely delicious food with more than 10 vegan burger options available! The effort the restaurant has gone in to offer so many delicious and fresh vegan options needs to be appreciated despite it cooking for omnivores. Also lovely staff. The view is sensational! And the layout of the restaurant is also very cool.

Came here twice for some lunch. Place is always busy even at 3pm. Lots of veggie options but the sietan burger was a let down for us. Apart from that the salads are amazing, big portions, açai bowls are great and the juices as well. Slow service though took about 40 mins for our meals to come

Wow. As a vegan, it's still not very easy to find a place to eat in Costa da Caparica. When I found this restaurant, although I was almost on the other side of Caparica, I had to try it. The menu, by itself, impresses with the number of vegan options, from the snacks to the dishes. I ordered a Mixed Vegan "Pica-Pau" (mix of Tofu and Seitan) with homemade chips, a fruit juice, and a coffee, and for less than € 20 for all this, I had a hard time finishing everything - but with great desire, because everything was delicious. The place could not be better, just in front of Santo Antonio beach. I will return to try the different vegan burgers.

Not easy to find vegan options in Costa da caparica. This is a must go! We had tempura broccoli and the beans burger and it was delicious! The sauce for the tempura broccoli was not vegan but they replaced it with a tomato sauce that was heavenly! Thank you Marcelino for the excellent vegan meal!

It's not a veggie place, but it offers amazing vegetarian and also vegan options. If you are craving a burger, this place will please you a lot!
Read moreThey have several options for us, like seitan or tofu burgers, as well as natural juices and chips to go with the hamburgers. I believe they also have a vegan salad, but I haven't tried it yet.
It is in Costa da Caparica, at the beach, so it's always nice to relax there, after a day at the beach or just after a walk there and be able to enjoy vegan or vegetarian options, while looking at the sea :)
