Falafel fantasy - Edit
Maoz is the place to go to customize your own falafel pita. They advertise as vegan, but they've got a few marked vegetarian options. It's a small place but conveniently located right in the heart of the city.

Good as always - Edit
Friendly staff tell you what is vegan and what is not. Turns out only 3 steel trays and 2 sauce bottles were not vegan. Self-service salad bar but no refill for hygiene reasons. Sometimes long wait because it is popular. Not much indoor space to sit but they do have a terrace at the Grote Markt.

Heerlijk broodje Falafel - Edit
Ook volkoren brood verkrijgbaar. Salade/ groenten/ sauzen kun je zelf opscheppen. Er is duidelijk aangegeven wat niet vegan maar vega is.

Best falafel place! - Edit
Always satisfied with the falafel, although it is a shame that it's mainly vegetarian unlike the Maoz chain in Amsterdam. Meaning you gotta watch out for the sauces etc. Otherwise, it's a fantastic price-quality-taste combo and the owners are super friendly! You can even take the salads in your own Tupperware to avoid using single-use plastic containers.

This is my go-to eatery when I'm not cooking. I always just get falafel in pita bread, eat in so I can refill salads and sauces as much as I want, and bring my own plastic fork to make it easier to eat.

The best falafel in town - Edit
You're always happy and satisfied after a visit to Maos. The falafel is freshly made and as it should be, the salads are good and they have vegan tahinisaus! Staff is friendly especially considering the (boring) job they have, it's very central and with a nice view. If there's no space inside there's a terras and otherwise you can order take away and walk to the small green park around the corner (opposite of Barro Alto and De Hemel - the local brewery)
Read morePros: The best falafel, a lot of salads, tahinisaus
Cons: Small

Good food, decent price. - Edit
Although, as others have stated, the space is quite limited, we still managed to get a seat and some food! The falafels were very good, so were the fries. The guy serving us pointed out which sauces were vegan and which ones were not.
Read moreI have to admit, I have no idea who I could have picked up more salad from the bar than I could fit in my falafel pita. Maybe I oversaw places or something... I would have like to try some more of the salads (to be fair, I had the falafel pita with fries and a drink and it was really good and filling so I couldn't have eaten more anyways), but I failed to see how I could have taken anything other than in my falafel pita.
Good location (nice view of the historical buildings when you get a window seat/seat outdoors), very decent pricing (less than 8€ for a falafel pita, fries with sauces, + salad bar), and overall good food! I already know where I'm going when I return to Nijmegen!
Pros: good food, good value, friendly staff
Cons: some sauces were not vegan, not very spacious

I love the concept of unlimited access to the saladbar. I find myself just filling up my pita bread with vegetables.
Read moreThe food is great and staff is friendly. It's a shame that not all sauces are vegan, so maybe that's something they could improve on, but since it vegetarian, I doubt it. It's a small place as well with only a few seats.

Cons: small space, not all sauces vegan

Not impressed. - Edit
We were not impressed. Food was ok, but the lady working there had no idea what veganism is and asked if it was some kind of religion. Bit disappointed. We have been to other Maoz, like in Parish, which was much better.
