Manna Kitchen is relatively new - about time a dedicated vegan restaurants opened up in the 'burbs of Chicago! Went there shortly after they opened, and liked the extensive menu. I've been back at least 2 - 3 x per month, miss sitting down in the restaurant but that's not an option right now with Covid. The staff has always been friendly, funny at times, and answered my questions with facts, not fiction. I like it when the front staff asks the chef or those who make the food when I inquire about an ingredient I don't care for.
Read moreSo many choices at this place have kept my visits new and fresh, although I have a few favorites I mostly always get: Mac & Cheese (their mushroom bacon is out of this world!), Greek Salad with tasty "feta" (vegan!), anything with their gravy (poutine, specials from time to time). And the Manna Burger is also amazing. A few months ago, they started to offer more desserts, and when they have donuts or the chocolate cherry cake (it's called Black forest cake on the menu), I usually double up. A few weeks ago I have ordered a whole Green Tea/Macha cake for a friends birthday and dropped it off for their family to enjoy, and the reviews were outstanding. Anyway, I'm off to pick up an order once again, tonight it's Manna Kitchens daily special, an order of seitan "no-chicken" chicken with a couple of sauces, and a blueberry kombucha.
Highly recommend this place and will be a customer for life.

The staff here are really friendly, the type happy to see you when you walk up to the counter. On the recommendations of the person who took our order we got the Schnitzel and the Manna Burger with a side of Buffalo Cauliflower and sat outside. They chained off a few spots in the parking lot to accommodate the pandemic.
Read moreThe food was great, the seitan schnitzel came with a little cup of not-too-sweet jam and a big cup of (American) potato salad. The Manna burger was a lot like a vegan po' boy sandwich and came with a big serving of waffle fries which weren't very salty (for our tastes). The cauliflower was honestly perfect for us, and their cinnamon roll made a great late night snack for later.
Highly recommend if you're in town, the main thing we didn't like is that even though we wanted to eat outside, all of our food was in take-out containers with high walls that made it a bit difficult to eat, and there wasn't any light outside. But the food and staff were really quite good for counter service.

My husband and I stopped here when we were in the area and really enjoyed ourselves. The staff was really friendly and helpful and the food was super yummy. I’d definitely recommend the crab cakes and poutine. We also got some of their manna butter which was pretty tasty as well!

Ordered deep fried chic’n with ranch, Mac n cheese, burrito, and cinnamon roll. The deep fried chick’n was really good!!! Texture is a bit off but flavor is there! My fiancé loved the burrito. The Mac n cheese leaves something to be desired. Luckily we are headed home so I’m going to add some salt and nooch.... it needs it desperately. The cinnamon roll is really good!

We recently went to Manna Kitchen for the first time and were incredibly impressed with both the amazing food AND service. We had heard wonderful things about their menu and decided to make a 45 min drive to check it out. We were NOT disappointed. Not only was the staff knowledgeable, patient and friendly, but even the owner took a great amount of time talking with us. It's wonderful to meet the faces behind such a hardworking establishment as Manna Kitchen and to know you're in great hands. Thank you for the superb Vegan eats and the personal touch that made our experience so pleasant. We will for certain be making this drive again!!! Thank you Manna! :)

Great Spot in the West Suburbs - Edit
There's not many all vegan places in the suburbs, but the few that exist are usually pretty good, and Manna Kitchen is no exception. It's newer but they have a good menu with plenty of different choices. Their crab cakes and potato salad were especially good. I've only had the opportunity to do take out from here because of the pandemic but I'm looking forward to dining there in person soon.

Dining is so much more than merely sitting at a table and eating. Manna Kitchen understands that. The people are so warm, welcoming, and genuine that I felt at home immediately. The order process is smooth and easy. The daily specials are a great way to go on any day.

It was a nice experience here. The food is made very fast and the staff are patient and nice. The portions are very nice as well. I had the burrito with tempeh chorizo as I never have before and it was amazing!!!! Also the buffalo cauliflower is amazing!

Great variety of Vegan dishes. I had a hard time deciding so I did more appetizers. Their creamed spinach potato soup was amazing. I had the steamed cauliflower and broccoli seasoned with Lemon Grass. Loved it! Apple Sage sausage. You would never know it was vegan. Waffle fries and macaroni and cheese for my daughter. She enjoyed both.(both vegan)

I have been here twice. The first time I had the crab cakes and the burger. The second time I had the crab cakes again and the burrito. The crab cakes are super good. The burger and the burrito were not very good. They didn't have much flavor at all. The fries came out cold and I had to request new ones. I think they made the fries too early and they were sitting. Even the new ones weren't in the fryer long enough so they were kinda soggy. The customer service is very good. They are are very nice.

Delicious food that leaves you full but not feeling stuffed. We had 4 different dishes that didn't necessarily compliment each other but they were all delicious and we enjoyed sampling them all. I love that gluten-free items are labeled on the menu to make ordering easier.

Without many entirely vegan restaurants in the suburbs, it's refreshing to have a place nearby where you don't have to ask about ingredients and make modifications. They have a diverse menu with both comfort foods and healthy options. They also have rotating specials so there's always a chance to try something new. The staff is friendly and warm and this is definitely a place I will return to again and again!

I've eaten at Manna Kitchen twice since they opened and enjoyed everything I ate. The soups are delicious. Loved the crab cakes. But most of all, I loved being able to eat everything on the menu! I hope they are successful and stay open for a long time!

I ordered a bowl and it was huge. I could barely finish it. I also had the buffalo cauliflower. They were cooked well and the flavor was great. I wish I could buy the ranch dressing that came with. For dessert I had a blueberry fruit bar. Like the rest of the food, very fresh tasting. Will be going back. So I came back and had the schnitzel and really enjoyed it. The potato salad made the dish. Would love to just buy a container of it.

Looking for a (clean) vegan restaurant in the good 'ole suburbs of Lisle? Who would have thought? Not just any welcome vegan restaurant, Manna Kitchen is the spot. We've been longtime fans of Manna bread (found in Whole Foods) and when we heard that Markus was opening a restaurant, we had to visit.
Read moreManna burger (pictured) included a housemade patty (I wanted to stay away from any Impossible or Beyond patties) and it was delicious. The waffle fries were a great addition. We also had the Schnitzel Platter with the vegan sour cream which was awesome. Also had a side of steamed broccoli and cauliflower as well as the cole slaw. Oh! And the cauliflower buffalo wings were delicious as they were lightly battered and tasty. Definitely will be back and will continue to try new dishes (and everything is reasonably priced which is super important).
