Unhygienic - Edit
I ordered takeout on October 4, 2024 at around 6-7 pm and found two different pieces of hair in my food. The hair was embedded in the food in two different boxes and not the same thickness, color, or length that the hair from anyone in my household has so there is no chance they landed there after opening the boxes.
Read moreThis was on top of getting my order wrong. The person on the phone repeated the order back to me - two crispy BBQ chicken sandwiches, one with pickles and one without. When picking up the order, the worker apologized for not making the second sandwich when questioned why they only made one. They asked if the second sandwich should “also have no pickles” obviously implying that they thought there was only one sandwich without pickles made. Instead, at home I found that both had pickles.
I called the restaurant the next day. They answered and asked if they could put me on hold. I said yes. I was then put on hold for over 20 minutes, at which point I hung up as I’m clearly not worth their time.
I WAS a regular customer and have ordered here probably about 50 times. I never leave bad reviews for getting my order slightly wrong or forgetting part of the order, but I will leave a bad review due to the grossness of finding two separate pieces of hair on two different foods. Do better.

I went there with my cousins who are not vegan, I am... we were all satisfied and happy. I got the tower burger and sweet potato fries. Can recommend. The panang curry also looked good. We got also the sweet chili cauliflower wings which were so tasty and not spicy.

Manna Kitchen is a treasure in the western suburb of Lisle, IL. The entirety vegan menu also offers many gluten-free options. There is a tasty array of appetizers, soups, salads, entrees, sandwiches, specials, and dessert/bakery items. The menu includes an array of international dishes, as well as burgers, and cauliflower wings. The restaurant has excellent house-made seitan and baked goods.

A group of us tried a hotdog, some fried chicken, fried cauliflower (my favorite), a burger and a banh mi. I don’t typically go for fried cauliflower but theirs was fantastic. A friend I was visiting apparently always orders multiple servings of the fried chicken because he thinks it’s the best vegan chicken and saves it

I have about a 30 minute commute to work, and there’s really no vegan restaurants or choices close to me. So I Grubhubbed Manna Kitchen for the first time and was so surprised! I’ve worked close to them for so long and had no idea! I devoured everything! 😅 Definitely ordering again.

We love to eat here to celebrate special occasions without having to travel to Chicago. Given our budgets, we can't go here often, but we aren't disappinted when we get to stop by.
Read moreWe loved the manna burger back when it was on the menu, but the tower burger is a very decadent new addition. The icing on their cakes have always been so creamy and sweet, so consider trying a cake slice if you haven't. Their mac and cheese has also gotten really good. Would definitely get it again. My favorite app is the sweet chili cauliflower wings, deliciously crunchy, but the portions are too small for the price. Also, the staff are always very polite when we go!

Lots of vegan options but little vegan quality - Edit
You know when people talk about quality over quantity? I feel like this need to be reminded to the owners. There were many options +20 But the dishes were not the best in terms of portions, seasoning, and consistency. I saw someone order the panang curry bowl and asked the server to have what ever they did and when mine came out the presentation was not what the other people had. The taste was okay but lacked seasoning and sadly if I had gone to a curry restaurant it would have tasted much better..so don’t get this if you go. My boyfriend got the Greek salad and he liked it! The salad was not messed up but the portion size for a entree salad was SMALL.. we could have gone to another restaurant and got a salad of better quality. We were visiting Naperville so we will not be back.

Like Manna in the middle of nowhere - Edit
Well, actually 25 miles from Chicago in the western suburbs, nice to find a vegan restaurant! We ordered via delivery service to our hotel , enjoyed the Chik- Wrap, and the tofu Club. The borscht was delicious and brimming w vegetables, but my fave was the crab cakes, accompanied by a tasty red cabbage slaw. Unfortunately, it appears that the delivery menu had fewer options than the regular menu, as the current website menu lists a lot more choices than we were offered for delivery. Also, no desserts were available for the take out order.

I’ve tried half a dozen items off the menu and they’re all delicious - manna burger, soul bowl, chili, Mac and cheese, the tofu club sandwich, matcha cake, red velvet cake, and Indonesian style pudding. I love this place so much. It’s so satisfying when you’re looking for comfort food!!

This is a great casual dining spot with so many options! The menu offers a variety of items ranging from appetizers, salads, bowels, wraps, burgers, and desserts. Everything on the menu is 100% vegan, clearly marked, and detailed enough for you to know what you are consuming.
Read moreWe visited Manna for the first time with friends before an evening out. The restaurant is well lit and has tons of opening seating available. For being an independent business, they have a large variety of packaged snacks, butters and treats all branded Manna offering better for your options on the go. For dinner we order the Tower Burger w/ Sweet Potato Fries, Manna Burger, Buffalo Chick'n Sandwich w/ Sweet Potato Fries, Beyond Burger, Sweet Chili Cauliflower Wings, Carrot Cake, and Peanut Butter bar, and a variety of beverages from the cooler. There was four of us, so it's not as much as it sounds lol.
Everyone really enjoyed their meals, and everything had great flavor. My personal favorites were the sweet chili cauliflower wings and the bite of the buffalo chick'n sandwich. The carrot cake was really good, but the icing was just a bit too sweet, while the peanut butter bar could have been a touch sweeter itself; good to have options depending on your sweet tooth ☺️
No one left hungry, and we all had something left behind on our plates; we tried to finish it all!!!
I would say the meal was moderately priced. For just the two of us with two entrees, an appetizer, slice of cake, two bottled beverages, an item from the shelf, and tip, we spent about $65. The food was really good, service was great, and it ain't McDonalds lol.

My parents have grown tired of me taking them to Indian restaurants in search of vegan-friendly restaurants, so we tried Manna's Kitchen. My mom said "this is the best wrap I've had in a decade" and we ordered seconds and then thirds to keep exploring the depth of options on the menu. This place is a gem.
