Served eggs and fish sauce despite specifying vegan

More care needed when offering vegan options!! I’d heard great things from others who’ve been and to start with we were convinced we were in for a treat. The drinks were nice and there was a good choice of starters all of which were unique and tasty. However as soon as the mains arrived I got a really pungent whiff of something fishy. I asked the server to double check if the red curry was indeed made vegan as specified and he assured me it was. I was still suspicious so just left the red curry and instead thought the pad Thai I ordered would be safer. However upon closer inspection there was eggs in the dish. Staff initially seemed disinterested in resolving the matter but then offered to remake. By which point I just wanted to leave so they offered to waive the bill. Honestly it was just a disheartening way to end what started as a lovely evening.

Pros: Mango Corn Cakes, Popcorn Tofu, The cocktails!

Cons: Mains contained eggs and fish sauce!!!

Some nice options

Tbh I’d rather visit Leelawadee for Thai food in Soton as it’s cheaper and nicer with a wider range of curries that can be made vegan, but the food here is decent. Not massively fussed on the cocktails, they’re expensive and just a bit weird. My favourite thing here was the mango sticky rice but I don’t think they do it anymore ☹️
