My Favorite NYC Restaurant - Edit
The food here is amazing. It all tastes great and very fresh. Both my husband and I agreed that this was our absolute favorite NYC restaurant. We don't live in New York or we would eat there a lot more often.
Read moreWe ate there 3 times. This is what we got;
Seaweed Soup and the Curried Tofu
Mana Burrito Bowl and the Vegetable Dumplings
Simple Plate and the Shitake Mushrooms stuffed with tofu tempura style
My favorites of those were the Curried Tofu, the Seaweed Soup and the stuffed Shitake Mushrooms. But, truly everything was absolutely delicious.
We wanted to give this five stars, but Happy Cow only allows up to 4 stars for restaurants that are not purely vegetarian. We are vegan and appreciate Happy Cow's approach. Everything we ate was vegan and well marked.
Pros: Amazing Tasty Food, Fresh Food, Helpful Staff

Pleasant place - Edit
A pescatarian menu with lots of vegan options. My seitan based lunch special was good, not great. May return to sample other dishes.

great atmosphere! - Edit
Really cozy, welcoming place. Nice, small interior, super nice and helpful staff. Waiter (describing a dish): "vegan, gluten free, no nuts, made with love. You're not allergic to love?" Hilarious. Everything is either vegan or pescetarian. I had the teriyaki with seitan and it was really good, although a bit soaked in sauce. I read some reviews about overcooked veggies, but mine were perfect. The natural cherry lime soda is delicious! Veggie dumplings for starters were also tasty.

Perfectly decent, yummy and satisfying - Edit
I always feel satisfied when I eat at Mana. I agree their desserts should be avoided, but the appetizers and entrées have plenty of yummy choices. As far as organic fare is concerned, most restaurants in NYC that serve organic do so when it's available. Kinda like I do at home.
Read moreI recommend their Thanksgiving meal. It's vegan, imaginative, and as filling as the original model. I've spent two Thanksgivings there.
Pros: healthy, good food, nice space
Cons: a bit pricy
