Owner-run place with quality food - Edit
Had a rest and a great lunch there after a long walk through Moda. The food was good and fulfilling. Not too many tables, but there was renovation downstairs (we've been there in May), so maybe they have more space now.

Awesome place! It was a bit busy when we arrived, but they quickly set up a new table to accommodate us. The hummus and falafel bowls were both excellent; really liked the mix of hot and cold components. The whole staff was super-friendly and attentive. One of the owners told us about the background of the place, the food and local area. Totally recommend!

Read moreI personally had a falafel bowl with a nice pesto topping. Quantities are generous and perfect for big eater like me.
Also, one of the rare place in Istanbul where I could find real burrata based salad. The kind that reconciles you with vegetarian options.
Staff is super nice and welcoming. I totally recommend.

Mama bowl is the place that was needed for a long time in Istanbul, Kadıköy! I was always searching for a good quality vegan/vegetarian salad bowl place and I finally find the one for me! Everything is super fresh and good quality. My fav bowls are falabowl with amazing falafels and their buddhabowl that has a great combination of vegan stuff. if you like vegetarian stuff, burrata bowl is something very unique and special that one should try! And I love that it is in Moda. very good location.
