No Trick, All Tweet

Ambient piano and birdsong were the order of the day at this atmospheric yet relaxing restaurant. Perhaps due to these elements, I felt immediately at ease, which only served to enhance my overall enjoyment of this meal. It wasn’t all about the aural accompaniments however, as there was plenty to savour in terms of the edible offerings on what was a great quality buffet both in terms of quality and selection. The breads and hummus were top-notch, the vegetable soup was satisfyingly salty, and I am always delighted/relived to see milk alternatives readily accessible, as it prevents the meal from becoming disjointed. That being said, the particular area of this buffet that shone brightest for me was the Indian section. The idly weren’t too dry, the sambar wasn’t too liquid and chana masala was superb in flavour and texture. Also, while there wasn’t the usually ubiquitous hash browns on offer here, the potato wedges were a more than adequate substitute.
A very pleasurable outing, one which very much falls into the category of repeatable.
