Majani is a small, intimate, and busy restaurant. We were warmly greeted and had a short wait for a table at 5:30pm on a Saturday. The spirit behind the creation of this restaurant is meaningful, and the food was delicious. Servings were ample, neither my husband or I could finish our meals. Prices were very fair. I look forward to a 2nd trip and HIGHLY recommend adding it to your Chicago options.

Crazy for the Cauliflower! - Edit
4-10-18. Decided to visit this evening, not in the mood to cook. I arrived went to the counter and was never acknowledged by any one who worked there. They were not that busy, but after 2 minutes, I did not receive an I will be with you in a minute , no hello...nothing.

I went there to see what they have to offer. There were no menus. I felt as though I was steppin moving from side to side to get out of the way of the waite staff. I was not impressed by the ambiance but the young lady who took my order was fab.
I tried to wait until I got home to dive into my food but it smelled so good, I gave it a try while sitting at the traffic light.
Needless to say...everything I was not blown away by paled in comparison to the taste of the bbq cauliflower. DELICIOUS! I do not even like this vegetable.
I will definitely go back to sample other items on the menu.

the best BBQ cauliflower ever - Edit
I have been vegan a long time. And I make it a point to visit every vegan restaurant wherever I travel (Globaltravelingvegan.com) and especially in my home city, and this place is one of the best for cooked vegan food. Cozy atmosphere too. The BBQ cauliflower is the perfect texture and crunch and sweet and tangy.

I have been twice and both times were excellent. It is a warm, friendly comfortable place, with a large varied menu to suit a variety of tastes. The service is fast, friendly and the prices are fair.

I absolutely love this place. I have not had one bad meal. My meat loving husband loves this place too. They offer 5-6 meal options and the dinner option changes daily. Brunch is served on Sundays. And free parking.
