Pretty good food dine in experience basic takeaway - Edit
Really excited to try this place but was somewhat disappointed that it’s not a real restaurant so don’t be fooled by the pictures with real plates and cutlery. Dine in is just takeaway packaging and the forks really suck. Food was pretty good but I wouldn’t go out of my way for it. If in the area and wanted takeaway I’d definitely do it again.

I wish I had two stomachs - Edit
We started with the fried grits. Spouse got the jerk chicken sandwich and I got the soul bowl with jerk tofu, Mac and cheese and greens. The grits were so good with the tomato sauce on top. The Mac and cheese was closer to a cheesy pasta but still so delicious and the tofu - omg. My mouth wanted to keep eating but my stomach ran out of room. Definitely coming back!

Good food, great service. - Edit
In My Top 2 vegan restaurant in Chicago area so far. Staff like to enjoy and care. Different food as what i'm used to. They do really good work with spices and flavours. Their desserts are really worth it too. Give it a try.

Bright spot of my day: Jerk Tofu - Edit
Let me tell you about this jerk tofu! I could have ordered a bucket of this stuff and just sat in bed with it. The seasoning and smoke flavor is phenomenal. That and the fried okra was the bright spot to a dreary, rainy and windy day. I was the one vegan family member at the repast; Majani was my lifeline. The food was so good. I can’t wait to get back to the city for this same order.

Delicious Soulful Food - Edit
Jerk Tofu Wrap with roasted sweet potatoes was delicious. Extra garlic sauce ots set it off. Greens and cornbread. Their collard greens are great but I thoroughly dislike that dry cornbread. I think it’s water cornbread, which was a staple in African American homes decades ago. Some like it, others, like myself, do not. There was a potato corn chowder soup special one day and it was amazing. I wish they’d make it a regular menu item. Last but not least, there’s this strawberry lemon cake that is one of the most amazing vegan cakes I have ever had. I definitely need them to make me a wedding cake with these flavors, even if there’s no groom: just me and this beautiful cake.

AND best vegan soul food, my favorite black owned vegan restaurant, and the best BBQ cauliflower wings on planet earth.
Read moreThis place is incredible. The owners are so wonderful and kind, and the food is absolutely amazing. I would go here just alone for the BBQ cauliflower wings- they are that good. But everything else is great too, including my other favorite, THE GREENS! They also have fresh unique juices, a wonderful interior, and desserts! Everyone seriously needs to support this wonderful restaurant.
Pros: Best Vegan Soul Food, Black Owned , Friendly staff

Fast and tasty! - Edit
What’s not to like? Decent prices. Good portions. And fast delivery during the shutdown. We had the bbq cauliflower, beans & rice dinner, and the gyro. My brother got the gyro and LOVED it. He couldn’t believe it wasn’t meet. The cauliflower was quite good and I don’t tent to like bbq sauce.

Crispy BBQ cauliflower was to die for. A little underwealmed by the seasonings in the other entrees but worth going back for the cauliflower and to support a local vegan biz on the south side

Can't wait to go back! - Edit
We went for brunch and it was really impressive! Some unusual things that were unique to their menu along with the classics. We are fortunate to have a good amount of amazing vegan breakfast/brunch options in and around the city, but I'd say this is without a doubt in my top 5 right now. I can't wait to go back for dinner as well.

We went for lunch. The barbecue fried cauliflower nuggets were delicious (and that's from someone who doesn't normally enjoy cauliflower). I had a great tofu and avocado sandwich. My spouse enjoyed her food, too.
