Good vegan Options - Edit
When I asked for Vegan options Mahek was able to make every dish after the first three on the vegetarian list menu plant based. Also the card was very nicely and clearly labeled. They also have a vegan dessert „Vegan Masala Tea Creme Brûlée“. I definitely recommend the place.

Good vegan food! - Edit
They are really aware of what veganism is and where happy to serve vegan food. The cooking Chef came and said he really likes that we are vegan and explained Everything to us. Curries were very tasty! They even have a vegan dessert.

Great Indian food - Edit
Vegan friendly Indian restaurant located on the beach at Beau Vallon. Several vegetarian options that can be made vegan.
Read moreWe enjoyed the roti, a dal dish, and rice. Spice level was mild…would have preferred medium.
We ate a late lunch so no reservations needed. I do think you would want to call and reserve for dinner.
Cool view right in the beach.
Pros: Tasty food, Great view , Vegan friendly

Good choice in Mahe - Edit
Tasty curries. I loved the brokkoli and coconut one as it was amazingly spiced. It’s very hard to come across anything as tasty as this in Mahe.

Best vegan option - Edit
Not everybody knows that, but you can actually ask for most of the vegeterian dishes to be vegan! Joe the chef is so nice and aware of veganism. There is no other normal option for vegans here. Came here every night and still didn't get to try all the vegan options. So good!

Wish I could give it 5 stars - Edit
You won't find any better place for vegans in the entire Seychelles. It's actually the best Indian food I have ever tested any place. It was actually so good that we had to come back another night. They have vegan naan bread (roti) and even vegan Creme brulee! The chief also came out both times we were there and had a nice conversation with us. Highly recommend!

Great Indian place on Mahe - Edit
While almost nothing is listed as vegan, we saw here that they veganized many dishes for others and so we gave it a try. I love Dal Tadka and Pindi Chana (Chole) and while both are listed with dairy they gladly cooked both of them vegan for us. Really tasty food and great service. A great option for vegans travelling here. Beware and ask for mild spiciness if you're not used to spicy food!

Not many vegan options but delicious, excellent service - Edit
On the menu there is only one vegan option which is an appetizer but most vegetarian main dishes can be turned vegan. The stuff is lovely and helpful. I gave 4 stars only because i think they could add more vegan options otherwise the place is excellent. If you are staying in Beau Vallon it is literally the only place you can get vegan options.

Best place for vegans in the whole country - Edit
Perfect Indian food with a great view. Just a life-saver for vegans. Ask the waiter to talk to the chef, he is a very nice person and he will tell you about all the dishes that can be made vegan. Had a great time here.

Amazing Indian food! - Edit
Opposed to the former review, the waiter said that all vegetarian meals (except the first two on the vegetarian menu) can be made vegan - with coconut milk instead of milk. That's 6 vegan course options.
Read moreI took the Kai Korma and Urulai Broccoli with Saffron Rice and the Tanduri bread and both courses were exquisite! Really one of the best meal I ever had. Special Indian spices that tasted so good.
Take notice that even the mild spicy option was quite spicy.
The restaurant itself is situated right on the beach with the sound of the waves filling the room. Nice polite staff and even the chef himself came out to ask everyone how was their meal. It did take them a long time to get the meals ready (about an hour) - like everywhere else on the island. But it was defiantly worth the wait. Highly recommended!

Pros: 6 vegan main course options (+ 2 rice options) , Really unique amazing tastes, Right on the beach
Cons: Took a long time to get food ready

Great Indian restaurant - Edit
We asked for vegan dishes. The Chef came to our table, asked us for details and prepare special vegan dishes for us, which didn't appear on the menu! (the menu already had a few vegan dishes)

Great beach location, sparse vegan options - Edit
Number one, this place is located right on an awesome beach, Beau Vallon, so that’s why I chose it. Admittedly, I also thought it was a safe bet because normally Indian food equals quite vegan friendly, but this place is a big exception to the rule.
Read moreTheir menu follows a really handy system where all menu items are marked with the allergens they contain. This also will alert you to the fact that only one of the vegetarian appetizers is dairy-free and zero vegetarian entrees are dairy-free. I asked our server if they could make something dairy-free and vegetarian. He pointed to one of the menu items and said they could make it without dairy. I said ok, and the server asked me how it was later. I said it was great. I mean, in reality it was just ok, but I feel odd saying so when I’ve asked for a special accommodation.
Certainly I’ve had the experience before of asking for something specially made vegan and having it be ok but not great. But I’ve never had that experience at an Indian restaurant before, so it was pretty confusing. (Admittedly my Indian restaurant experiences are limited to only the places I've personally lived or visited, so take that for what it's worth!)
Still a good experience though because I came to the Seychelles for the beach. I did have much better food experiences in the Seychelles though- I found veg curry in the creole style of the Seychelles to be quite good. I also found that even if a restaurant doesn’t have it on the menu, they will offer to make it, if you ask about vegetarian options.

Pros: Can handle specific allergen/ingredient requests
Cons: Only vegan items are off-menu/special requests
