Serves meat, vegan options available. Caters also to vegetarians, and the owner will identify which menu items are vegan. Will make some dishes vegan upon request. Open Mon-Sun 11:00am-9:30pm.
My husband and I ordered the Chana Masala and the Vegetable Khorma, and both dishes were fantastic! They will refill your rice, and the garlic naan is perfect! At $50 (with tip included), I did find it a little pricy, but no more than any other sit down restaurant nowadays for two people. We ordered ours mild, as we weren’t sure how spicy each level would be. The Veg Khorma was not spicy at all but still flavorful. I would likely order medium next time. The Chana masala had a small kick but nothing crazy. I would likely go medium next time on that as well!
Words cannot describe how amazing their food is! We have not found a better Indian restaurant, and we have been to 50 Indian restaurants since falling in love with our first samosa five years ago. But about Maharaja: The owner and waitstaff can recommend vegan options on the menu. The food is exquisitely cooked from the sauce to the veggies. And the appetizers are mouthwatering. Our favorite foods are Vegetable Samosa, Aloo Bonda, Pakoras, Gobi Manchurian (must try!), Chana Masala, and Aloo Gobi (must have!). The prices are very reasonable as well. But the food is just incredible, and no other place compares. We drive about 75 minutes each way to get to Maharaja - they are that good.
