Colorful, healthy food! - Edit
We had bowls for dinner and really enjoyed our visit. The food is quite expensive, but since they use various fresh veggies that’s completely fine. They close pretty early (like many places in Stockholm), so make sure you don’t show up too late!

Buddha Bowl 💚 - Edit
5 stars for the Buddha Bowl alone, it was out of this world delicious. Perfect combination of colour, flavour and texture and the wasabi dressing was delicious. I would happily eat this meal every day. UGH SO GOOD!!!
Read moreAside from that there were just a few minor negatives:
- my boyfriend’s burger was missing the vegan bacon like it said on the menu
- smoothie size was way too small for the price
- shame about the excess plastic use. For example the sauces came in disposable plastic containers, and was given a plastic straw without asking (didn’t need one)
Prices seemed pretty standard for Stockholm and there is plenty of seating indoors or on the back deck.
Pros: delicious colourful food, all vegan
Cons: missing item from meal, smoothie was tiny

Great Buddha Bowls - Edit
We came here for dinner and really enjoyed our meals. They have English menus which was helpful. The Buddha bowl was delicious. The staff was very nice and helpful. Nice to have such a healthy and tasty meal!

A shady and terrible business - Edit
The food is delightful and the waitresses are some of the best people, but the business is handled horribly by the people in charge. You can tell that the service staff is under too much stress and pressure, working ridiculous shifts and getting little to no pay for it, I have seen people come and go during my time eating at this restaurant, and when they leave they are in such bad shape that they can't keep on working... and I simply can't support this business knowing how terrible their business ethic is towards their own staff.

Top quality - Edit
I took my uncle here (very non-vegan), and he absolutly loved the vegan burger that they served. The smoothies offered are also amongst the best in Stockholm, and there is a huge amount of space and some great outside seating options!

Mindlessness at its worst. - Edit
This place couldn’t tell me the ingredients in their food. Seriously?! At a place for diet restrictions, you don’t know your ingredients...??? Super disappointing. Not even good food. Just posing for Hawaiian-themed Instagram photos. Shallow. Waste of time.

I recommend this place for the food and the atmosphere. But! The staff isn’t the most friendly and you sometimes have to wait for a very long time to get your order.

Great food, beyond terrible service - Edit
The ambiance and food was delicious but totally not worth our hour and a half wait to get our food. We had to repeatedly ask if our food was still coming and spent the last 30mins standing waiting for our food to be ready. Once it was ready it wasn’t delivered and was completely cold. I won’t return.

I loved the Buddha Bowl and the falafel wrap we got. The atmosphere was also really nice with outdoor seating. There’s also an English menu. Would love to go and try their other items next time!

Definitely a favorite - Edit
This is one of those places that you just know is going to be a favorite after only having walked in the door. Had the place recommended by several locals. The space is warm and welcoming and has a second floor over the bar that overlooks the rest of the cafe. The staff are friendly and the vibe is down to earth and relaxing. The food is terrific, with lots of raw options: lots of “bowls” (buddha bowl, falafel bowl, kale salad bowl etc) juices, smoothies and smoothie bowls, raw cakes and more.

Best Restaurant Experience I've Had Since Going Vegan - Edit
Where do I start about this place? The atmosphere is amazing (good music, lots of people, nice interior); the food is beautiful and delicious; and there are so many options. And oh, everything is vegan. This is the best restaurant experience I've had since I went vegan. Left with a smile on my face, and I sure will come back for more. Thank you, Mahalo.

Overcrowded - Edit
My bf and I went to Mahalo for a Sunday lunch, mainly because all other places in the area were closed. The food was decent but nothing special, in fact my hot chocolate was a joke, with hardly any hint of cocoa in it... The atmosphere in general was irritating because the place was packed and there were like 10 people queuing to order food to the point the front door was open half of the time, which made me sit there in a coat to keep warm. Imho, the place has too many tables for the space available ;-)
Read moreIt was also not easy to get when the food was ready as all order numbers were shouted once and in Swedish, which was hard to follow in all that clamour. I missed ours by a few minutes even though I speak the language xD

Delicious!!👌 - Edit
I ate lunch with my mom here. I really enjoyed my plate, a cold salad with tofu, Brown rice a lot of vegetables and stuff. Mom didn’t like her falafel that much but that was just because she does not like creamy stuff (the hummus) or koriander. She also has a stupid opinion about tofu.. But anywas I think that she acctually would like my plate and i probably would be an even bigger fan of hers👌

Plenty of vegan options! - Edit
Hälsocafét is a nice, vibrant café which opened in October 2015. The interior is light and Scandinavian and consists of two floors. My friend and I had our first acai bowl here and it was very tasty and nicely presented. Fresh and filling although quite pricey at 75 SEK. However the ingredients aren't super cheap (especially acai berries).
Read moreI'll definitely be back and look forward to trying their fika (Swedish for coffee and cake).
Updated from previous review Jan 2016:
Since my last review I've been back twice to enjoy their hot food. First dish I had was deliciously marinated tempeh (locally produced!) with fresh potatoes and salad. Today I had the burger plate which consists of a Vegme soy burger served between two leafs of lettuce, salad, sweet potato fries and a nice chili mayo. I reckon they could lower the price (139 kr) during lunch hours but considering the place was packed they don't seem to have any problems bringing in customers. The portions are quite generous though. Next time I'll try one of the cakes!
Please note: EVERYTHING is now 100% vegan!
