Multiple vegan options, great curry - Edit
Enjoyed the hemp curry here and it was nice that I did not have to ask for any modifications. I was not able to catch the hours but they have changed from what it currently says on the website, so maybe be careful. Watched live music hosted in the bar upstairs after eating, which was a lot of fun.

Vegan oasis in Konpira - Edit
A vegan paradise in Konpira. The owner and staff are kind and welcoming, and they have an extensive vegan menu. I had the curry at medium spicy, which was mild but still a little hint of spice that balanced the sweet. I had a good chat with the owner on my way out and hope I can go back while I’m in the area as I didn’t have room in just one visit to try all the delicious things on the menu.

By far the best curry I have had in Japan - Edit
Hemp Heart had a mix of wonderful atmosphere and delicious food! All ingredients were locally sourced from pesticide-free farms, and combined with an excellent mix of spices. The variety of flavors came through with a considerable punch, without feeling hot or unbalanced. The yuzu soda went very well with the curry.

Truly great place, menu clearly labeled, chef is easy going and makes excellent vegan curries and salads. The cocktails were also delicious. Absolutely stop by for dinner if you are in Kotohira.

The food was everything you’d expect from a vegan/vegetarian restaurant. Delicious curry and pleasant atmosphere, with enthusiastic staff. Impressed by the pasta made by local udon makers incorporating hemp. How cool is that. #Veganuary
