Very vegan friendly and delicious - Edit
We ordered the Brussels sprouts without the bacon, and they were the BEST Brussels sprouts that I have ever had. They have a vegan curry option which is very tasty and the vegetarian option can be made vegan as well.

Awesome choice if you're with omnivores - Edit
Only one vegan entree (a jerk seasoned coconut curry) but it was vegan as-is, which is always a nice touch, and was absolutely delicious!
Read moreThe server was very knowledgeable about the menu & probably could've helped find a vegan app too, if you wanted that.

Not a good choice for vegans - Edit
Beautiful restaurant. Excellent service. The ONLY vegan option was a very plain salad having them hold the cheese and sweet potato fries. There is a vegetarian meal available if you eat dairy.(not able to veganize it)

Vegan pizza - Edit
I went there with meat eaters a couple of weeks ago and had my first cauliflower crust vegan pizza which tasted great. All meals were presented beautifully and tasted great. This restaurant is a great option if you go out with mixed eaters and are looking for something nice to dine at

Very accommodating and delicious! - Edit
I was in Charleston for lunch yesterday with three non-vegans so decided to try this place since it was on Happy Cow. I only saw one item on the menu that was vegan (the peanut hummus) so I asked my server for options. She was very happy to talk to the chef for me to find out my options. He made me a really good veggie plate (pictured). The hummus was great as well. And she knew to bring me olive oil for the bread. I would recommend this restaurant.

Delicious and Very Vegan Friendly - Edit
My husband and I visited Magnolias after reading some of the other Happy Cow reviews. We were not disappointed at all. The atmosphere was festive (it was early December), and our server was very friendly. We let her know right away that we are vegan and GF, and she was very helpful with our selections and said that the chef is more than happy to accommodate special dietary needs. We definitely recommend Magnolias if you're' looking for a fine dining experience!

Surprised to see this place on HappyCow... - Edit
While the restaurant is nice - it's a very good choice for an example of finer dining in Charleston - it is NOT vegan friendly compared to other places in Charleston. There is one appetizer and salad that are vegan, and then sometimes the vegetable plate is. Anything else would have to be modified. While they are accommodating, I would not consider a place with so little options to be vegan friendly

Delicious custom plate - Edit
Lunch with an Omni friend on a Sunday, so we got the brunch menu. Nothing even possible to make Vegan. But the very helpful waiter Matthew suggested the chef would be happy to create something special for me. He checked, and the chef made a gorgeous plate of a wide assortment of veggies. Portion was huge, everything was delicious, and the staff was very knowledgeable and accommodating.

atmosphere and great service - Edit
If you’re vegan there are only about two things you can order off the menu without things being super complicated. The boiled peanut hummus is absolutely delicious. They do have a vegetarian entree listed first. We asked if it was vegan and it was not so the chef whipped us up something special instead and it was absolutely delicious. Kale, rice, and mixed vegetables. The atmosphere and presentation of food were wonderful. Our server was extremely knowledgeable and accommodating to us being vegan. Limited selection but worth a visit for an upscale dining atmosphere and delicious cocktails.

Southern charm! - Edit
Was pleasantly surprised by this place. Wanted a nicer/higher rated restaurant experience in Charleston for my boyfriend's birthday that he would have yummy comfort foods as he's not vegan. Saw that they had a vegetarian plate as an option for me on the menu. Had a wonderful experience, great ambience and food. I ordered he boiled peanut hummus and was very good, not peanut-y at all which was good for me cause I'm not a huge peanut fan. For dinner got the veg plate which happened to be vegan, a coconut milk risotto with pistachios and heirloom tomatoes and mushrooms. They said the dish rotates seasonally. Definitely recommend coming here whenin muxed company who don't want to eat at a vegan cafe.
