Great flavor, great vegan options - Edit
I’ve seen a few posts about now serving meat but we went on Christmas and we’re given their holiday menu so perhaps there’s meat on their regular menu 🤷🏻♀️ but the front windows still claim vegetarian and the menu didn’t have any meat options.
Read moreWe ordered several items and server was helpful with questions we had. All items that could be made vegan were clearly labeled. We ordered Chana masala, vegetable korma, dal Makhani, paper masala dosa, bhatura, and sweet corn soup.
All of the items has great flavor and very filling portions with a great balance of vegetables and sauce in each curry.
This definitely ranks high for us and clearly a good restaurant when the restaurant is full and there’s loads of parties waiting outside as well!
The only comment we had was that while the dal makhani was great, we wished there’s a bit more buttery richness in it but we still ate every bit of it.
Pros: Great vegan options, clearly labeled, Deep flavors

Not vegetarian. They serve meat - Edit
I called to make sure they didn't serve meat and the person said they are both vegetarian and not vegetarian, lol. He said they serve chicken and meat to people that want. VERY DISAPOINTED. Good thing I called before going

Indian Vegetarian Restaurant in South Florida - Edit
Samosa was a bit spicy, had a lot of potatoes and veggies. Cashew tofu was delicious. Sweet, not spicy at all. Nice to have a place to get Indian food after the pandemic caused Woodlands to close their buffet.

My friend and I ordered several apps and mains to share and we're delighted by everything we had. So much flavor and interesting textures. I can't wait to go back for more.

Beautiful Menu, Tasty Food, Nice Atmosphere, Friendly Service - Edit
My title pretty much sums it up. The menu has many traditional Indian dishes on it, some creative and interesting dishes, and MOST menu items ARE vegan. The best part is the menu is crystal clear about telling you what's vegan and what isn't. If you are looking for gluten free dishes, they are well marked too. They offer vegan naan bread which you can't find anywhere as most other Indian places, they use ghee when making it. The food we had was excellent and the portions were just fine. Our waiter was very attentive, courteous and friendly. Many vegan restaurants are holes in the wall and have very limited seating but Madras Cafe has a nice sized dining room so you can actually have an evening out sitting in a nice place. My only critique is although this place calls itself a vegan kitchen, it isn't totally as they do offer some dishes with paneer cheese. On the walls it is written "no cruelty in the making of your food." That isn't totally true if dairy cheese is on the menu. Dairy is a cruel industry. But otherwise, this is a very nice restaurant and the menu IS mostly vegan items. I highly recommend visiting and supporting this restaurant.

Cons: not completely "cruelty free", paneer cheese
