Great waiter and good food! I got the vegan mushroom sausage in truffle cream and it was very good! Sausage did taste a bit freezer burnt so I’d recommend getting it without or just pushing it to the side but the bread and oil is vegan!

My brother and his wife from Oklahoma came to visit us in Nokomis and they LOVE Italian food. I picked Made in Italy and made a reservation for us as I’m the only vegan in our group of 4. We arrived on time and even though the restaurant was packed our table was waiting for us. The waiter was attentive and helpful. I ordered the vegan pasta with sausage, mushrooms and cream sauce and it was delicious. Everyone loved their food! We sat outside and it was a lovely dinner and dining experience.

Five items on the vegan menu. Impossible meatballs in marinara were delicious as was the vegan pizza. They even have vegan Parmesan to sprinkle on top.

Disappointing for vegans - Edit
We came here because it was recommended on Happy Cow but we were very disappointed. The vegan pasta dish options were the kind of food you would get from a bad cafeteria. You can do something better at home in 5 minutes - that’s how bad it was. There was no effort at all. The service at the bar was very slow and we had to get out of our way to get the bartender’s attention even though it wasn’t busy (they had time to chitchat by the cash register). The wine was the cheap Seven-11 kind. I strongly recommend vegans to avoid. This place doesn’t care because it’s a tourist trap and they’re busy no matter what. Go eat somewhere else - even if you have to go to Burger King or Taco Bell.

Loved the vegan options and the outdoor seating with heaters. Large portions. I had the pasta with meatballs and couldn’t even finish half of it. Very flavorful. We’ll be back.

I love the penne and the meatball appetizer. We asked for light cheese on the pizza and it came out perfect. We were super impressed by their vegan options. The waiter told us that the owners daughters are vegan 🌱

I ordered the Vegan Penna Tartufate and we shared a vegan pizza and I had one glass of wine. I had one slice of vegan pizza. I could only eat about 1/4 of my pasta and I got full, which is weird for me because I eat. Once we got home my stomach was bloated and hurt really bad. Then I threw up about which was about an hour and a half after I ate. I specifically that I wanted the vegan option but maybe they made it with real sausage or maybe it was cross contaminated. Im not sure but im sure I do not feel good

I always love a place where my whole family can be happy. They have beaucoup options for me, and also my mom whose diet is the opposite of mine. The atmosphere is awesome. The service has been amazing every visit. This would be a great date night spot. I really think everyone can find something they like here. Right in downtown Venice. Highly recommend.

I got the vegan pizza with the sausage! I called at 9:30 on a Saturday night. My non vegan sister said this was also delicious . Was ready in 2 salads and 2 meals ready in 10 minutes. Would recommend :)

I will never come here again . Paid thirty extra dollars to have it delivered through Uber eats and had to still drive down, wait and pick up part of my order that they hadn't put in. Also my husband and I don't eat meat and requested no meatballs and still got meat balls. They gave me a twenty five dollar gift card for forgetting the meal(which doesn't even cover the extra costs i paid for delivery and still had to go pickup). They said that they could put more spaghetti in but they weren't sure how long it would take since they had a lot of take out orders ahead of us. Since it is now almost two hours after we originally ordered we decided not to wait and we won't be using that gift card either. If you want a happy Mother's Day or are celebrating some other special day I would suggest to go any place else but here.

Just had a wonderful meal. We sat outside since it was a pleasant temp at 9pm. Leslie ordered the vegan penne and I got the vegan pizza with sausage. FYI the complementary bread is vegan. Our entrees came incredibly fast. We swapped entrees halfway thru and both agreed that the pizza was good but the penne was amazing. Had leftover pizza for tomorrow and got an order of vegan cheesecake to go. Very happy!

Recently, my wife and I ate outdoors at this wonderful Italy restaurant in the Historic District of Venice. We never thought we would find a Vegan friendly restaurant, and I'm not talking about salads but entrees. To our surprise, Made in Italy has a Vegan section on their menu. My wife had a wonderful (no fantastic!) Vegan Zoodles with Bolognese and roasted veggies. I'm a vegetarian and had a fantastic Gnocchi stuffed with cheese and with the spicy tomato sauce, a daily special. Jared, our server, was great and knowledgeable. We would give them 10 stars if we could. Vegans...support this restaurant, we need more like this one! The food was 5-Stars but Happy Cow restricts that rating to only 100% Vegan/Vegetarian Restaurants.
