Do not go there - Edit
The vegan options are not specified in the menu, they serve some dishes modified but I ordered some enchiladas without cream and cheese and in the first attempt, they gave them to me with cheese and creams and in the second attempt, they served me mushrooms with cheese. I ordered without cheese.
Read moreI'm not sure if the salsas they use for everything are vegan, they say they are but it tastes like non vegan.
I couldn't eat.
They serve deserted and breads but nothing vegan.
I wouldn't recommend going there. They have no idea what vegan is.
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Vegan options not specified in the menu, Not many vegan options, Slow

Limited vegan options but nice atmosphere - Edit
Vegan options were very limited and nothing exceptional. I hope one day they will expand their vegan options. However, nice atmosphere and friendly staff.

Not great - Edit
The atmosphere wasn't the best, although the setting was very cozy. Very few vegan options and the pizza I got didn't taste that much. Awesome crust so the potential is great, but I was disappointed. Some of the staff is nice but others are kind of blah.

Nice - Edit
Staff are great and menu is vast for vegetarians. Not many vegan options. We got the pizza which was good but probably just had a bit too much going on, some contradicting flavours I think. Tacos were literally just mushrooms in a tortilla. Coffee was lovely, overall good, just not great vegan meals.
Read morePros: Lots of veggie options , Really nice coffee , Great staff
Cons: Not many vegan options , Vegan tacos were plain

Great place to enjoy good food - Edit
I've been to Maco several times already and was never disappointed. Although we had some issues with our first ordering (ordered vegan bagels but got them with a cheesy bagel), they solved the issue professionally. The vegan options are good and the atmosphere is great too. Some waiters aren't super friendly, but if you can ignore that, this place is a great one to have a nice meal!

Cons: Non-creative vegan dishes, Some unfriendly waiters

Limited options, multiple barking dogs - Edit
I love animals, that's why I'm a vegan. I don't believe in bad animals, only bad owners. Unfortunately there were several bad owners the last time my partner and I went to Maco. Four different dogs were barking the entire time. Their owners did nothing to calm them, and the staff didn't offer to help either. My partner and I ended up cancling our order and leaving.
Read moreAdditionally the only protein option for vegans is nuts. Of the few vegan offerings many didn't even have those, instead offering mushrooms. Also everything I tried was very plain and not flavorful.
That being said the coffee is very tasty, the resteraunt itself is cute, and the live music (when you can hear it) creates a nice atmosphere. If they had some better vegan options and outside seating for inattentive pet owners I would give Maco a solid 4.
Pros: tasty coffee, chill live music, cute setting
Cons: limited/mediocre vegan options, disruptive patrons

great space, warm and friendly staff, creative menu - Edit
Lovely peaceful courtyard with a large creative menu. Staff was very warm and friendly. Menu was huge with plenty of vegetarian and vegan options which were clearly marked by menu symbols. Great place just for a coffee too. Weekday lunch menu is a great deal at 68 pesos and one of the three platos fuertes options are always vegetarian (but other two are generally fish and chicken) as well as the sides.

Lovely place but limited vegan options - Edit
It's a lovely place to sit and there was live music the night I was there. It's in a convenient location. The vegan options were clearly marked but limited. Vegans should be careful if ordering a bagel as some have cheese melted on top. The soy hot chocolate was delicious. Staff were friendly.

nice courtyard cafe with several vegan options - Edit
This cafe didn't have as many options as I was expecting, and most of the vegan options were mushroom based, which always strikes me as boring. Lots of vegetarian options though. I did get a nice, hearty vegan salad with nuts, artichoke hearts, olives, and a tangy dressing, which was a welcome treat after days of trying to make sad side salads into meals. I would go back for the salad, and I if I were more into mushrooms, I would definitely have been more satisfied.
