Serves meat, vegan options available. Trendy restaurant in the Bocagrande neighborhood. They have several vegetarian and vegan items. Open Mon-Thu 12:00pm-10:00pm, Fri-Sat 12:00pm-11:00pm, Sun 12:00pm-10:00pm.
The Arab plate they have is excellent, with aubergine, great hummus, good falafel and a nice salad and pita. The Baba Ganoush is also recommendable, as well as the drinks. A bit expensive for Cartagena, but compared to Western restaurants still excellently priced.
Service is nice and competent, gives some more high-end feels.
A little expensive and only one main dish as a vegan option. I'd choose to eat somewhere else if possible, if not it's still very delicious. The service, by the way, was really great.
This has a beautiful ambiance and several vegan options. Also lots of vegetarian options. Service on point and food was delicious. Definitely an elegant option for vegans and vegetarians
This place is great for vegans who love Arabic food. The atmosphere is fine dining which we don’t often get with vegan cuisine. The other people making reviews and don’t get this place, maybe they’re just too cheap, not sure. The food ingredients are fresh. Order the Arabic standards, hummus, falafel,,babaganoush. Great wine list if you drink wine. Professional outstanding service, food came quick even though it’s fine dining,. Worth the trip wherever you are in the area. Would go back !
So this place is a mostly Lebanese inspired restaurant that does offer vegan options. It was just a few minutes walking distance away from where I was staying in the Bocagrande area. We started with baba ganoush as an appatizer which was good. I had their "Vegetarian" main dish which had lentil fried rice, falafel patties, a little hummus and something else I don't remember haha (sorry). It was all delicious but the falafel patties were prettt dry :/ It was also pretty expensive compared to other places. I was there on a date and we paid almost 100,000 COP (around $35) for 2 main dishes, an appatizer and 2 bottles of water. Sadly, didn't think to take any pics cause I was in a hurry :/ I give this place 3.5 stars.
true, only worth noting this place for any vegans starving in the área (as there are better and more affordable options in this city).
The only vegan thing on the menú was a plate with: lentils, some average tabbouli, a few fried falafels, a tiny (very tiny - like 2 bites tiny) thing with hummus, oh and 2 cracker-sized pcs of pita. Even their main hummus dish has "res" (meat) in it.
Also, don´t rely on the map location above. Yes M Cocina is on 6th, but not way down in that península thing. it is up very near the main Ave. San Martin
This place is ok if you happen to be staying in Bocagrande, but I don't think it merits a taxi ride to it if you are staying in the Old Town.
It has the usual Arabic fare of tabulleh, hummus, fatush, falafel etc, but not a lot else if you are vegan.
And at ~USD 20 for a full plate of the stuff, it's not cheap either. Shame their stuffed vine leaves and stuffed cabbage leaves are both premade and meat infused. :(
BTW: Note this place has changed its name to: Restaurante Arabe
