Best vegan banh mi in the Twin Cities - Edit
This place is just reliable and tasty. I slightly prefer the curry tofu banh mi over the mock duck banh mi, but they're both great. The egg rolls are also delicious, but oily.
Read moreMost other banh mi places don't even offer tofu, let alone tofu AND mock duck.
When you order, just make sure to say no paté, no mayo and no fish sauce (easily done if you order via their mobile app).

Vegans Beware - Edit
This is a build your own sandwich place. I asked for a mock duck sandwich which they label as vegan. The employee immediately puts on something I didn’t ask for. I ask her what it is and she says mayo. I say I want this sandwich to be vegan and I don’t want that. She assures me that the “mayo is vegan” and at one point says “it’s just butter”. At this point I’m very uncomfortable and felt they were rushing me to finish. They’re already wrapping up my sandwich by the time I can even process what’s going on (this place is completely empty btw). I really wish I didn’t buy the sandwich because I don’t trust them at all. I would honestly avoid the place unless you’re ready to make a scene to ensure you’re not being fed animal products.
