Pizza with lake view - Edit
I looked for a place serving gluten-free food while in Bardolino and found this special place.
Read moreThey serve different kinds of gluten-free dishes including pizza and even have a vegan version with rice stracchino.
As I don't particularly like cheese (even the vegan version) I opted for a gluten-free vegetarian pizza without mozzarella and it was delicious.
Very professional and nice staff.
Lovely location with a beautiful lake view.

It was Good - Edit
The vegan food was not extraordinary good but okay and better than most other Italian restaurants. Unfortunately there were no vegan desserts. Nevertheless the atmosphere was lovely and the waiter very friendly

Really tasty food but.. - Edit
The food was really good and they had some various vegan options, extra labeled and u can get most of them gluten-free.
Read moreBut while i was waiting for my food i realized next to me is a cage with a lot of birds inside. The cage was too small for alle these birds and they were directly next to all the guests so they had no safe haven if they want some silence.
Pros: Many vegan options, Good food, gluten-free possible
Cons: Caged Birds next to the guests

Unusual vegan options - Edit
L'unico offers vegan options that are not the same as every italian restaurant. We wanted a break from all tomato based dishes so we were happy to have a tofu salad, tortelli (stuffed pasta) and the artichokes as the starter. The salad was big and filling but the tofu was supposed to be smoked and tasted plain without any seasoning. The tortelli were really good but the portion was small. The artichokes stuffed with plant based mozzarella were a big portion and tasty. But coperto 3€ per person is the most expensive I have seen all over Italy.

Fantastic Italian food - Edit
It‘s not a typical touristic restaurant and it is not in a typical touristic area, so go there if you like a more quiet place with a fantastic view over lake garda. The menu has several vegan options like the big vegan salad which is healthy and has various ingredients. The pizza can be ordered with whole grain. Service is authentic and friendly. Prices are normal compared to the area.

Plenty of choice - Edit
Large restaurant with several (clearly marked) vegan options on the menu. I had the barley, lentil and bean soup which was delicious. It's on the menu as a starter but if you add some side veggies it could be a main course.
