The Best Vegetarian Japanese Restaurant in Sg - Edit
This vegetarian restaurant in Singapore serves exceptional Japanese-style dishes. The Japanese curry is incredibly rich and flavorful, even better than many non-vegetarian versions I've tried. The broccoli bites are a must-try — crispy and delicious! The staff are friendly, and there’s no GST or service charge. Highly recommend for a great vegetarian meal with a Japanese twist!

The place for vegan sushi - Edit
We visited on 16 Mar 2024 - apparently the shop had done renovation, but still looks the same, though it may have more seating for large groups now. We had visit several times & usually enjoyed the food, but somehow, I felt it wasn't as good as before IMO (different chef?).

Pros: Vegan options - sushi, potato salad

Pleasant, clean & nice options on menu - Edit
Goodness, I accompanied a family member for vax. over here last year but failed to notice this nice cafe. Anyway, I was early & ordered avocado vegan mayo don & Tofunagi maki. Service was quick & pleasant. Staff was kind to let me know it could be filling with just maki alone. I replied I could finish it all. When I gripped my maki to and fro from the soy sauce to my mouth, the maki did not break up like some rice rolls do. Both orders & ingredients are balanced & good.

Pros: Good options on menu, Reasonably pricing, Not far from bus stop

Oiishi! Delicious Jap Food - Edit
Tried the tofunagi maki! Honestly really hard to find vegan jap food around so I am super happy to find this place. The food was very affordable but this is definitely more of a “sharing” type of place for friends/ family. Eating a whole maki on my own got a bit ‘jelat’ at the end but still delicious and would recommend! the chocolate sorbet is super good😄and there’s free water too

Nothing like Japanese/Korean Food - Edit
Allium-free vegetarian eatery, quite a few items in the menu contain dairy/egg. Supposedly serves Japanese/Korean food; been here twice but I personally found the taste for the dishes disappointing. The yangnyeom is particular is a far cry from the real deal (it's basically Chinese sweet and sour sauce). Seems like a popular eatery though.

Excellent Japanese fare! - Edit
The food is so good and tasty... and you will forget that these dishes are vegetarian. Personal favourites are the fried mushroom in Lucky Tendon which actually has a real prawn taste (fixed my craving for 五香虾饼)..and the Tofunagi which taste just the same as Unagi! Amazing! Thumbs up!

Makis - Edit
Lucky Cat - a Japanese vegetarian cafe in Hougang. Not an unfamiliar name to many, given their many highly-raved dishes - dons and makis. Been wanting to try their dishes for a long time and I've finally gotten my hands on their makis!

I recommend their tofunagi maki, read some mixed reviews but it was tasty to me! It was topped with deep fried tofu and seaweed, and coated with teriyaki sauce. I love the different layering which brought out the different textures! Would definitely order it again! Portion wise, was just nice for me too.

One word. Creamy. That’s how an avocado should taste like isn’t it? At least for me, hehs.

My favourite! I love potato salad, but it is tough to find a veganised one, so I truly appreciate this side dish!
Pros: Flavourful dishes

Yummy Japanese food and friendly service - Edit
It was our first time visiting the cafe and we were quite spoilt for choice with the menu options. Some of our favourite dishes were shitake cream & cheese, somen in hot broth and tofunagi/ soy meat floss makis. The ice osmanthus red tea was really nice too! Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. I will definitely go back again.
