Reopening July 31, 2024 Lovely healthy meals and drinks

They have reopened with new hours which I tried to update and added photos. Award winning spot.

The new veranda is gorgeous with plants, flowers, and vines, so it’s a great place to eat outside in the fresh air. The food is healthy and dynamic.

Lovely food and location. Very kind staff. Limited menu.

They have very delicious options such as pancakes, nachos, bean burger and wraps. The staff is incredibly kind and friendly. Service is good. Looks very pretty and has indoor or outdoor seating. Could do with a few more options on the menu.

Pros: Incredible vegan food, The staff is very kind and friendly. , Indoor and outdoor seating.

Cons: Could do with a few more additions to the menu.

Not vegan, even if it states otherwise

I thought this place was vegan but it is not. Happy Cow has now updated. It sells dishes with eggs and salmon, but they still call themselves plant-based (their words). Also, I ate in and my smoothie was served in a plastic cup which is not just bad for the environment but also not really inappropriate: they wouldn't give my food in plastic plates or give me plastic cutlery, so why the plastic cup? The service is not good either; when they realised I was vegan, their manner changed. The food itself was mediocre at best, and quite expensive for what it was. The smoothie was more like cartoned juice than a normal smoothie.

Pros: Vegan options

Cons: Too much plastic, Not fully vegan

Beautiful

I’ve been there many times. Couple of cakes or pastries may contain gluten, other than that all the dishes are gluten free and vegan. There are smoked salmon, eggs and dairy but only if you ask for them. Delicious foods, best pancakes in town. It’s the best vegan option in Wimbledon.

Pros: Almost fully vegan, Very nice and caring staff, Beautiful garden with winter/summer options

Lovely dinner menu and live music

The dinner menu is varied and the food was very fresh and healthy. There’s a deal for 4 tapas dishes for £20 which we had as starters to share - all really tasty.

Also we went on a Saturday night and they had live jazz music playing - overall a really nice evening and amazing food.

Gluten free vegan heaven

This place does really yummy and wholesome food. I’ve been many time and would go back in an instant. It’s a good shout for breakfast and also for coffee and cake. Plus if you have a craving for sweet potato fries this cafe has you sorted. (They deliver too!)

Pros: So many vegan gluten free choices , Small cafe with great atmosphere , Delicious cakes

Cons: On the expensive side

Lovely Lunch Spot

Cute little cafe, really nicely decorated inside. Didn’t realise from the outside, but there is a whole other seating area in the back. Menu has lots of delicious vegan/veggie options. I opted for the ‘sweet potato jacket with chickpea curry’. Did not disappoint. Great find.

Pros: Lots on the menu, Nice decor

Cons: Only open for breakfast and lunch, not an evening

Tasty and well thought out menu

Nice little cafe with friendly staff. I sat inside but the garden would be lovely when sunny. Lots of options for vegans and people with other dietary requirements. Be warned though service is slow so don’t come here if you are in a rush!
Also a little pricey but the food is tasty, portions could be larger but I am greedy.

Great Little Place

Nice little cafe/restaurant attached to a hotel. In summer you can sit outside. It's located on Worple Road away from the crowds, but easy to get to from Wimbledon station.

Service is friendly, if a little slow and scatty.

The food is great. I usually go for brunch. The avocado on toast is a winner and I've also had the bean burger and lentil curry, which were both tasty and filling.

Pros: Healthy, tasty, filling food, Away from the crowds, Can sit outside (during the UK's two-day summer..)

Nice little cafe

I went here for lunch with some friends and it was a nice little find. The vegan burger was very good, and the salads my friends had looked really great (and substantial) also. Likewise there was an array of smoothies and the banana shake I had (vegan) was very good.

I did find the menu rather confusing though, which isn't particularly clear and it needed some clarification from the server before I could ascertain for sure what I was ordering was vegan.

The service was also very pleasant, if not a little scatty and slow.

Pros: Lovely fresh meals, One of few veg*an options in area, Nice cafe with indoor/outdoor space

Cons: Confusing menu, Service a little slow

Good option for Wimbledon

Just a 5min walk from the busy Wimbledon high street, this little café is conveniently tucked away on the corner of a quieter side-street.

Mains include a homemade bean burger, a vegetable pie, a curry, and a variety of salads, wraps, and jacket sweet potatoes, for about £6-7. Add-ons and sides are available for an extra £2-3.

Drinks include smoothies and shakes, the usual array of hot drinks, and matcha latte. The flat white wasn't great, but the chocoholic shake was pleasant. Prices range from about £2 to £4-5.

They also have a breakfast menu which looks lovely but stops serving at 11:30am.

The food was tasty and mainly vegan-friendly - I was really impressed with my black bean patty - though sides were a little bland (undressed side-salad, unseasoned sweet potato fries). My friend enjoyed her vegan pie which looked to have been a hearty portion. We didn't try their desserts though they did look good!

The atmosphere was really pleasant, and service was very friendly if a bit scatty and forgetful. It's also just a shame they still include fish and chicken on the menu, which I don't think would have suffered fro their omission.

Overall, it's a nice little option to have when you're in need of a wholesome snack in Wimbledon but don't want to splurge!

Pros: Good location, Reasonably priced, Friendly atmosphere

Cons: Food can be a little bland, Not great coffee, Service may be a bit unpolished

Great Healthy Food

Set in a part of London with few vegan options this place is a real find for healthy eaters.

My bean burger was great, came with a side of sweet potato chips as well. I ordered some kale chips as well which I really enjoyed, cooked so some bits were crispy, others still tender.

My dining partner ordered the brown rice bowl and it was full of healthy things like kale and avocado.

All up I'd say that this is the sort of place if i lived in the area i would come to for healthy food quite often.

Pros: Healthy, Nice Atmosphere, Outdoor Space
