One of our go-tos - Edit
I guess they use to have a vegan chef, based on older reviews, but there’s only a couple vegan options now. Still, it’s darn good. We always get the black bean burger, old school with great toppings, and fries. And beer. Yum, good portions, friendly service, nice atmosphere, very good live acoustic music, reasonably priced.

Brunch - Edit
Had the best French toast and tofu hash at LMT this morning. The chef is vegan so you know there’s no funny business. Everything was super tasty. Cleaned my plate. 😋

Excellent Vegan Options - Edit
What a great, friendly and delicious place to eat. Vegan options are always on the menu and always delicious and inspired creations. The servers are great with vegan food and understand... No hassles or problems. The vegan options are super creative and delicious. Great for a vegan only night or dinner with omnivores.

Always excellent - Edit
I love this place! They have seasonally changing menu with different vegan options. Right now for dinner (March 2021) there’s a pizza, a burger, (tried both and they’re delicious) a pasta dish, a salad and a bunch of sides. I’ve never been to the brunch but there are vegan options on that menu too.

Hit or miss - Edit
I’ve been here 4 times for brunch and ordered the “tofu scramble” every time. Two times, it was really good and the other two times were not good. One time it was all veggies with literally a teaspoon of tofu, unseasoned. The second time it was tiny cubes of unseasoned tofu mixed with pumpkin...not scrambled at all, very strange dish. Had to send them back. Luckily they were very accommodating and let me specify some ingredients. I suspect it depends on the Chef and some just don’t know how to scramble and season tofu.

Everyone is amazing! - Edit
I had never been here until recently. I was so shocked to see all the vegan and plant based options! The food is not only delicious, but creative and unique. I tip my hat the chef for each and every dish. This is my new favorite place in Dorchester.
Read moreI particularly enjoyed the arancini, cauliflower and leek fritters, and the power bowl.
If you can, try to go for dinner when there's live music. That really set the mood for us.
Pros: Decent portion of the menu is vegan or vegetarian, Great whiskey selection

Great gourmet vegan options - Edit
I'm thrilled to have Lower Mills Tavern adding vegan options to their menu! Apparently their new chef is vegan so they have multiple (well labelled) vegan (plant based) and vegetarian options.
Read moreMy husband and I were there a few weeks ago and I ordered the Autumn Vegetable Mezzelune and DH got the Almond Barley Risotto. The were both excellent, however the Mezzelune was very, very rich. If I order the Mezzelune I would split it with someone else maybe along with one of the soups or salads.
DH has also been there for brunch and says that the Tofu Scramble was excellent.
Pros: Large beer list, Creative, gourmet menu options, Well labeled vegan and vegetarian options
Cons: Some items are a bit pricey
