ohhhh myyyy

You HAVE to try their bibimbap, is freaking amazing! I eat bibimbap all the time (my bf is korean) but this one is the best one ever. I got the kimchi one.
I also tried the pumpkin noodle soup, it was good but the amazing bibimbap didn’t let me enjoy this other dish that much. The lemonade is sweet and yummy and I had a really good hazelnut soy tea.
I’m definitely coming back tomorrow.

Update: the summer rolls are meh, don’t get them. The desserts (the mint cake and the apple one) are yummyyyyy

Good

I ordered their curry bimbimbap, didn't expect it turned out to be that delicious. I guess the only thing I dislike the most is the mock meats/sausage used in the dishes, I'd have asked them to remove them if only I had know so. The hazelnut soy milk tea was average. Only regret is I didn't manage to try their cakes, they receive such high reviews! I shall try it next time ~

Close to Taipei 101 and SO DELICIOUS

Highly recommend having a meal here. I had the soy milk hot pot (Which tasted more like coconut milk tbh), and it was INCREDIBLE. I was so full as I had it to myself. Great place for vegan hot pot experience in Taipei.

Much better than the typical Loving Hut

The Guangfu Loving Hut sets a really high standard for this chain of vegan restaurants. The restaurant is located in one of the most fashionable neighboorhoods of Taipei and the local is nice, decorated mainly in wood.

The staff was very friendly and spoke really good english. The food was better than the food in other Loving Huts I have been to. The bibimbap was delicious and the rice noodles salad was refreshing and tasty. The dessert and the cranberry milkshake deserve a special mention, I would reccomend at least ordering one to try it and enjoy its high quality.

In my opinion, it is an obligatory step to every vegan that goes to Taipei due to its location, being very close from the touristicals Taipei 101 and Sun Yat Sen Memorial Hall.

Pros: Friendly staff, Excellent food, Location

I'm Lovin' It !

The Loving Hut near the San Yat Sen MRT is a favorite for me, because they consistently serve quality food that always leaves me happy.
I've tried everything on their menu over the last couple of years, and it's all good. Really !

From their salads, to their wraps, to their bibimbaps, to their burgers, to their hot pots, to their laksa, to their curries, to their roti, to their bbq, and even all their desserts and hot or cold drinks -- everything has been perfected and leaves you satisfied.

And this Loving Hut does it all efficiently, and happily.
I must say, no matter how busy they are, they get your dishes to you quickly,
I will always go back to Loving Hut -- Guangfu
I'm in love with them.

Pros: Friendly, Fast, Quality

Loved the food

My boyfriend and I ordered the tofu & vegan steak with spaghetti, curry rice, soymilk tea and strawberry pie. We loved everything! The strawberry pie tasted a bit artificial probably because of the strawberry jam inside, but it wasn't bad after all. It's located in a quiet alley with lots of greens outside. There were a plethora of options on the menu. Price was also pretty good, we spent $20 (NT 610) in total and we were both super full. Will definitely go again to try other stuff!

Pros: food, location, staff

try the Bibimbap ... my favorite! :)

The speciality in this Loving Hut is hot pot and various versions of Korean Bibimbap, as well as various cakes and even ice cream.
Super delicious and very friendly service. The price is reasonable.

Pros: very delicious, friendly staff

Yes, we went there 8 times during my stay!

Hi Vegs!

During our 2 weeks stay in Taipei, my friend and I ate here and there, but we really hooked on this one! That much that we were disappointed by the other veg restaurants we tried anywhere else.

Curry Pumpkin Hotpot was my top one, with Hummus wraps as a side

Staff is SUPER LOVELY

I'm using happycow as a reference when I travel since 2 years, and I finally created a happy cow account, just to tell that this restaurant...WILL BE the restaurant where I'll eat everyday if ever I come back to Taipei!

Pros: Vegan Hotpots, Curry bibimbap, 2 mins from metro station

Cons: Hey your reader! Still not gave a try?:)

Some dishes perfect, others not my type. A must.

Hello, I have to say that after reading the reviews, I couldn't wait to try the bagel burger and it was awful... a fake meat patty, Vegenaise mayo, ketchup, veggies and a fake bun with a hole in the middle. Everything kept falling out but my issue was that it had a terrible taste. Or maybe it's just my personal tastes...

I also had tomato soup which was as bad as the burger: just some canned tomato sauce heated with some minuscule carrots and corn.

Then we had a pancake which was a 5, and then an amazing coconut and pumpkin veggie stew. I swear, I never knew veggies could taste so good... you got to try it! My only problem with the stew was that the size of the veggies was too big, a lot of chewing.

We ended it with 2 cakes but mine was absolutely the best in Taiwan: Chocolate Mint Cake...:), and with a strawberry smoothie, which was fake (just like the one in Carrefour food court), but tasted great...

I didn't like that the menu was only partially translated into English but I liked that the staff speaks it very well.

Oh, you will also freeze and get sick cause they use air conditioning, strong one, even when outside is cold or even when you walk in sweaty in the middle of summer.

I will probably return just for take out and see if they have anything else I might like.

They do have good food and they do try to promote veganism and to appeal to both Taiwanese and foreigners, which is a hard job and I want to motivate them to keep up the good work and keep improving.

Pros: English spoken and menu, some dishes are amazing, variety, best cakes in Taipei, best curry

Cons: very strong air conditioning, some dishes tasted bad to me

Mainly Soup

Very friendly service, just keep in mind by "Hot Pots" they mean a pot of soup you cook yourself at your table, so if you're starving or in a hurry order something else. I ordered pumpkin curry, but I got a pot of mixed vegetables with one piece of pumpkin, and the finished product had very little flavor. Dessert (chocolate cake) and Rose Tea latte were delicious though.

Pros: Desserts, Rose Tea Latte, English menu

Cons: Lacks flavor

amazing bibimbap fusion!

I went a couple of times to this great restaurant having just come from Korea I was interested to see how there bibimbap would be. I was not disappointed! It was sensational and they even did a pesto bibimbap that was delicious! There bagel burgers are also great a good size and super tasty!

Best hot pot in Taipei

This particular Loving hut is based on the famous hot pots. Me and my friend shared the Curry one (it's pretty big for just one person) and It was INCREDIBLY good. Bursting with flavor and the additonal goodies you cook were super good too.
We also had the hummus wrap which was ok, but there was barely any hummus and wrap and too many veggies, so the ratio was not what I prefer.
We also had kimchi, that was super good and for dessert we shared the soy carramel latté and a chocolate cake.
The caramel latté tasted pretty much like from starbucks, couldn't even tell it was soy milk. And the cake was also great but VERY VERY HEAVY AND RICH. So if you are sensitive to that it will keep you feeling a bit unconfortable as it did me... But the taste was so worth it haha :D

There is also an additional shop where you csn buy all different vegan treats from vegan shrimp, hot dogs, patties, hot pot bases, bagels... Can't even remember what else...
They also sell the typical Taiwanese pineapple short cake - vegan version!! Sooo good and heart shaped, a perfect gift.
It is very easy to find, just take the blue bannan line to Sun Yat - Sen Memorial Hall, exit 2, walk straight and turn right to the third valley and it will be on your right :)
Menu is in english and chinese, just flip to the back. People there also talk pretty good english and are really friendly.
Also the atmosphere of the whole place is very calm, soothing and cozy.
They have a pretty big cake variety, 4 types of cheesecake and other cakes.
Apart from hot pot they also have some western dishes and bibimbap (hope that is how you spell it) and some milkshakes and milk teas... Pretty large range :)
I think this loving hut has the most food choices out of all in Taipei.
Loved it so so so much, definately go if you can!!

Pros: Easy to find, English speaking, Additional vegan food shop

very good! specialized in soups and hot pots

I have been in several Loving Hut so far and I always enjoyed a good meal!
This one is no different. I had a delicious spicy noodle soup and a wonderful chocolate cake.
Compared to other Loving Hut I have to say that this one is specialized in soups and hot pots: in the middle of the table there is a induction plate that you can turn on to keep your hot pot very hot. Beside noodle soups, rice soups and hot pots there are some skewers and a few western dishes. So if you are looking for fried noodles with vegan proteins or a dish with rice and proteins + vegetables (no soups) you will be a bit disappointed.
In the restaurant there is a little corner where there are a few products on sale, among them nice mock meats, mock fish, sausages, ham and so on.
Inexpensive! and they accept credit cards now!
Location is easy to find. From Sun Yan-Sen Memorial Hall station take exit number 2 and walk straight on. Turn the third alley on your right and you are there. Less than 5 min walking distance.

Pros: inexpensive, desserts, english spoken

Cons: limited menu (soups), menu partially translated , no pictures in the menu

Hi,
Their menu is fully translated and "WITH" picture now, the new version can be view from their official web site!
PS: the induction plate is to cook the pot, not just keep it warm. :)

convenient location, good food and drink

Located about 5 min walk away from sun yat sen memorial. Otherwise exit 2 of the sys memorial metro. Hot pots, stewed rice or noodle soups on offer. They can tailor the spiciness according to your taste. Light bites like mushroom balls and organic tofu skewers were very tasty. Good selection of drinks esp tea and coffee with soy milk which may not be easily available in other shops.

Pros: good selection of food and drink, easy to find/near tourist attraction, cheap

The best!

This restaurant is one of the best places I have ever been to. We had a burger, a quiche and a hot pot there, but it's the deserts that I loved the most - they have about 10 vegan cakes (with different layers, all excellent), vegan mousse, vegan ice cream and yummy drinks.
Definitely worth visiting.
I wish I could go there again.

Pros: Amazing deserts, Very popular with locals, Friendly

Hot pot

This loving hut was a bit difficult to find, you have to walk through a small alley before you find lane 280. But it was well worth it. Staff spoke some English. We had one of their lovely skewers and a delicious pancake, and then of course we had to try the hotpot this branch of loving hut specialises in. For dessert I had some very more-ish blueberry cheesecake.

Pros: Great food!, Very friendly staff, Inexpensive
