I convinced (non vegan) friends to go there with me and we all liked the food.
Read moreWe had hot pot, rice dish and a soup. followed by dessert. you will get free lime infused water. Also I really loved the scallion pan cake.

Not the best Loving Hut, but ok - Edit
I like the whole cult aesthetic of the loving hut so I usually try to visit them when one is around.

The dumplings and pancake were excellent.
The spicy & sour soup was neither spicy nor sour. To its credit, the cornstarch sauce was good. Typically they are too thick, but this one was done well.
The tofu rice was actually a tofu / glass noodle soup with purple rice on the side. It had a nice basil thing going on but didn't have much flavor beyond that.
At this particular branch, the Supreme Master isn't so Supreme in the taste department.

Loving Hut usually has pretty decent food and portions are usually quite good. This was no exception. I was happy to find it open as much of Penghu is quiet at the moment. The owners are very friendly, too. I took off a star as the music they had blasting very loudly was quite unpleasant. It was religious music that sounded like it was in a Broadway musical style, with the same two songs on repeat. I appreciate and respect that this is common to hear in a Loving Hut establishment, but the volume and repetition made it not so pleasant for enjoying a meal. But I was quite happy with the hot pot! Flavourful and filling!
