As you would expect from Loving Hut - Edit
I feel like Loving Hut is a consistent chain. They do decent Chinese with fake meat at a very reasonable price.

Loving Hut - Edit
Just love this little gem of a place. We returned here 4 times in one week while in London. Was never disappointed. The banana fritters and ice cream is a winner of note. Lin is a wonderful host. Will definitely come here again ❤️ Jesse and Tammy - South Africa

Very disappointing - Edit
The service was pretty standard but the food was really disappointing. The laksa in particular lacked any flavour in the broth and the noodles had no texture. The satay was slightly better but not at all appetising. The pad thai tasted of old fryer oil. I would give 1 star if i could

Nice food and friendly service - Edit
Service was very friendly and super quick. We made the mistake of ordering too many starters which meant we weren't hungry enough to try different mains but the staff was super accommodating and we really enjoyed what we tried. The curry noodles are lovely! Prices are reasonable as well and there is a lot to choose from. Would definitely go back

Excellent vegan Chinese food - Edit
Two of us called in for supper shortly before closing time, but we received a warm welcome. Hadn't been for a while and thought the food was nicer than I remembered. Am not a big fan of vegan meat but it was easy to avoid - we ate "seaweed", spring rolls, then (spectacular) sizzling tofu, greens, and vegetable rice. All fresh and delicious. Juice and 0% beer to drink. Prices still seem reasonable by London standards, too. The inside is modern and clean but outside they still have the old "Peking Palace" sign - a nostalgia trip for some of us! Looking forward to going back soon.

Best Chinese we’ve ever had - Edit
Can’t big this place up enough. Food came out super quick and was so inexpensive for London. My boyfriend had the vegan lamb and chicken teriyaki and said it’s the best meat substitutes he’s had. All round brilliant! Our whole meal and dessert with drinks only came to £32.

Loving Hut - Edit
Well, my experience was completely opposite to those who previously reviewed this restaurant. Perhaps the day I went was not Loving Hut’s best day.
Read moreFirstly, Loving Hut is one of my favorite global restaurant chains. It is very rare for me to have a bad experience at any of these restaurants.
The restaurant was busy but I don’t think that warranted it taking two hours from being seated, eating, and to finally being able to pay and leave. I was dining by myself, so I didn’t order a lot of food or have a complex order. This was frustrating.
I ordered two items recommended by the staff. The crispy duck as an appetizer and the laksa soup as my main. Both were a huge disappointment. The crispy duck was just OK and I didn’t like the flavor. The laksa was the worst laksa I have ever had in my entire life. The soup just felt incredibly lazy. The broth tasted like it was simply a can of coconut milk with water added. There was no flavor and I ended up dumping loads of salt in the soup to make it edible. The fake meats were not good. And the worst part is the tofu was so inedible, it was incredibly spongy and the texture was dense and way off.
I really didn’t expect my experience to be like this based on other reviews, so maybe it was a bad day for them. Regardless, I won’t be heading back here again.

I would recommend the branch in North West London , near Edgware tube station.

I had a bad experience at this place many years ago too! Not been back since. I second NW4’s recommendation. Edgware one is no longer part of the loving hut chain but is still 100% vegan and amazing.

Sorry your experience was terrible too. Thanks for seconding NW4’s recommendation! I haven’t been yet since it’s a bit up North but I plan to head over in the next month. Really looking forward to trying it. 😀

My number one favourite vegan restaurant in London - Edit
Such a hidden gem serving with an entirely vegan menu of really delicious Asian fusion dishes- the crispy shredded beef, prawn toast, sizzling fish steak and aromatic duck are all incredible and are some of the best vegan meat options I’ve ever had.

I ordered take-away and everything was fabulous. Maybe the best Chinese food I’ve ever had! They accommodated my request for tofu instead of the the meat replacements and the prices were very reasonable.

Too much to chose from! - Edit
This Loving Hut has a great menu, hard to chose what to order, everything sounds delicious. Got the Hot & Sour soup, whic was very tasty, and Sizzling Veggie Chicken with Lemongrass for main course, with plain brown rice, and it was superb! And there was place for dessert, Vegan Lemon Cheesecake with a scoop of ice, wonderful.

Incredible food, friendly staff, nice vibe - Edit
After visiting a Loving Hut in the US, I knew I had to check this one out when I got back to London. I wasn’t disappointed. We had the mixed starter sharing platter which was great - especially the sesame prawn toast. I also had the chicken chow mein which was so, so tasty - pre-vegan I loved chow mein and I haven’t found anywhere that does a nice vegan chow mein! Will definitely be returning!

Delicious and great prices - Edit
It’s hard to find decent food in London that’s under £10 but this Loving Hut has so much to offer. I had the laksa which came with vegetables and loads of different toes of mock meat and I could choose the type of noodle I wanted. The portion was massive and I ended up having half of it for breakfast the next day. Laksa is my favourite food so having access to such a tasty one that’s cheap is really good.
