Bad food at a high price - Edit
Long wait times for the food and food is small portions and does not fit the Asian theme of all other Loving Huts.

One of my fav vegan places - Edit
Their entire menu is vegan! I’ve been meaning to try different options but I am obsessed with their Kung Pao and mixed whole grain rice! It is a little spicy but if you take the chilies out it definitely helps. This dish is jam-packed with flavor! Definitely give this place a try, you won’t be disappointed!

You get what you pay for - Edit
The food is mouth-watering. I ate the vegan kung pao chicken, the arugula pizza, and the green tea ice cream. The food portions are huge, so I recommend splitting it with someone. The prices are a little expensive considering that my sister and I split the food and the bill came to be $45. The location is beautiful and you get what you pay for. 30 Nov 2016

Update: 2020, Over the years the service at Loving Hut in Claremont has dwindled. When eating at Loving Hut, I have only seen one employee taking orders, preparing the food, and serving the food. It takes a ridiculous amount of time to even get your order taken. Also, the owner of this place is rude. During the stay-at-home order, I was ordering food from local shops. I ordered online and I was given a time to pick up the food. When I arrived at Loving Hut, the restaurant was closed and there was a sign saying that their break was during that time. I called the shop and the owner answered and basically said it was his employee's and my fault (when this was never stated online). I never heard a sorry from him, kept blaming me, and he said he wouldn't give me a refund if my food was made (when they were clearly closed during this time).
In regards to food quality, it is still amazing, but the portions have decreased immensely. For the price that it is, I would recommend looking elsewhere.

Worst food - Edit
Unfortunately take out food can be dicey at best. We ordered on line(toast app). When we went to pick up our order the woman there was alone and hadn’t “checked” her phone so had not seen our order. She asked me to wait 15 minutes (after waiting 40 minutes to pick it up) and I agreed. She wore a mask and gloves as she cooked but repeatedly answered the phone and did Not change her gloves. Got the food, drove away and found a burned portobello sandwich, burned steak rolls and a tasteless, very oily eggplant and tofu dish. Horrible. We threw it away. First time at Loving Hut. Last time at Loving Hut.

Good food but way understaffed - Edit
I got the kung pao and it was pretty tasty, I’m not a picky eater so I enjoyed it. The price was way too high though. Also, this location is severely understaffed. I went in on a Saturday and there was one waitress and one cook working the ENTIRE restaurant (which was busy)!! I felt so awful for the waitress, she was trying to bus tables, refill drinks, take orders, and basically run the whole place on her own. There were tables that were never cleaned from the moment we arrived to the moment we left, and it took us an hour to get our food. The management at this location needs to do a better job at scheduling their employees or just hiring the appropriate amount?? Not even gonna blame the waitress because she was a champ and her employer needs to step it up.

Found this gem while visiting colleges in Claremont. Delicious! - Edit
What a great restaurant. Organic, fresh food prepared for you. We ate here twice for dinner and ordered a wide range of menu items from Japanese noodle soup to Tacos and the Kung Pao with brown rice. Each item was delicious. The owner is so kind and inviting and the service was excellent. Everything is made to order and delicious.

Not like other Loving Huts - Edit
Not like other Loving Hut restaurants I’ve been to elsewhere. The menu included pasta, pizza, Asian dishes, and American and Mexican cuisine. The penne with sun-dried tomato, broccoli, & mushroom was so delicious—perfectly cooked, with a surprise sprinkling of pea shoots. The quesadilla was great, especially the pineapple salsa. The tacos were good, too. The French fries were perfectly done, with a tasty seasoning on there.
Read moreThe manager was very friendly and nice, and he told us that they specialize in organic food. The cost is higher than the fast-food Loving Huts I’d been to, but the quality and flavor are superior, too. Highly recommended! We’ll be back when we’re down here again. Pleasant atmosphere.
Pros: Cooked to perfection—delicious food, Nice atmosphere , Friendly service
Cons: Hard to see from street (inside a shopping alley

Idk what the deal is with this location, but it’s terrible! It’s very pricey, and the food taste awful! The service is pretty bad too. Very unfriendly staff. The Upland location however is perfect. The food is amazing and they staff are great.

No Longer a Favorite - Edit
I’ve been to this specific loving hut several times and each time the food had been worse and worse. Preferring to eat at an all vegan restaurant, I would try to visit here whenever possible. However, last night the food was the last straw. The entree (gf pasta) I ordered came out cold and was slimy with a funky taste. My husbands entree (Kung pow ‘chicken’) was at least hot but the rice was stale and you could tell it wasn’t fresh. It’s really disappointing to see this vegan restaurant going down hill but I would not recommend this place at all. The prices are steep for what they’re serving: old, warmed up food.

Another Great Loving Hut - Edit
This is another great Loving Hut!! I always love to go to a new Loving Hut location. This one was pretty nice inside with a spacious dinning room and the usual Loving Hut decor. I tried the Cashew Cream Penne Pasta, it was really good! It was very tasty and the flavors were rich and creamy. I also tried some of the appetizers, which were also really good. I’m definitely going back to try the other menu options, like their pizza, it looked really good.

I was very disappointed. 😩 - Edit
So I was so excited to revisit this restaurant. About two weeks ago I stumbled into the loving hut in San Diego and I had such an amazing experience that I came home raving to my friends about it. They all give pretty good weight to my opinion of restaurants so we decided to make a big trip of it. Long in short only 3 of my friends were able to make it down (it’s an hr drive for us to the nearest location) to the restaurant in Claremont. We arrived and the place looked very upscale which was a bit throwing since the location I had visited before was a bit more relaxed. We were promptly seated and we began looking over the menu (which was completely different than the other location I should add) and figured out what to order. I ordered the mushroom pizza, buffalo and chicken strips one of my friends ordered the avocado soup and the other ordered the quinoa sushi. The food was a bit slow to come out and once it finally made it to the table it was not at all what any of us expected. The buffalo strips had no sauce on it there ranch dressing that the put as a dipping sauce was not very good and when I asked for buffalo sauce all they had was Sriracha needless to say the buffalo strips had a strange fluffy texture and overall were a bust but I didn’t complain. My friends were eating and seeming to be having a decent dining experience meanwhile I’m still waiting on my pizza. The pizza finally came out and it looked a bit burned but I had waited this long I just dug in. What a mistake!!! The pizza was terrible worse than terrible it was so terrible I can’t find the words to describe the texture of the crust and the veggies on the pizza were cooked but not seasoned and the cheese was hard. At that point I had enough so I asked to switch out the pizza for the soup my friend ordered. They didn’t hesitate to change it out and remove it from the bill the soup was seasoned well, it only had a few noodles but I was great full to have found one thing I enjoyed. I loved the desert at the sandiego location so I figured how bad can you mess up desert?! I’m sorry I asked. The green tea ice cream was more like matcha fine shaved ice and the carrot cake looked messy and I’m assuming it was raw vegan because it was like mush. I didn’t want to complain again so I just called it all a loss, paid and left extremely disappointed. I don’t know what this location was going for but it’s not working. My friends and I were so disappointed. Thanks for trying but no thanks.

Excellent! - Edit
My wife and I live in Las Vegas. On a recent trip to Los Angeles, to see our son, we used HappyCow (as we always do when traveling) to find a place to eat. After reading a bit about a few restaurants in the area of our location at the time, and we decided on the Loving Hut. What a great choice! The food was absolutely delicious! I had the Sizzling Iron Fajita and my wife had the Kung Pao & Mixed Whole Grain Rice. Both were spectacular! It made us sad we didn’t live near there to enjoy more meals from them; I would like to work my way through their menu one item at a time! We know where to stop on our next trip back that way!

Okay - Edit
Last time I went here I had the veggie sushi and the rice was a bit dry. The sauce was good, though, so it made up for it. I also got to sample the chocolate cake and oh my gosh... yum! Definitely the best when it comes to sweets, but everything else is only satisfactory.

Cheat meals - Edit
I come here when I am allowed to cheat. I'm mostly raw but my weakness is fries with ranch. So I come here to get a sandwich, fries and ranch! The food is so good. I also LOVE the quinoa sushi the best ever. If you crave sushi this is an amazing alternative. Love this place so much!
