Sadly my colleagues were not tempted by one of the vegan options in the area so we ended up here. Several things clearly marked vegan on the menu. Setting was functional. Service friendly. I’d definitely go back again under similar circmstances
Edit: I had to downgrade my rating after visiting a second time and experiencing such rude and even insulting service that I will now never go back here.
This Chinese-Hawaiian place has several clearly marked vegan options for appetizers and entrees. I had the crispy vegan eggrolls, musubi, and pho, and all were excellent! I enjoyed the broth of the pho, and the musubi was a generous portion - I plan to swing by to pick that up as a quick lunch on another day. They were operating a reduced menu due to health issues with the chef, so I’m looking to go back and try their other dishes. The restaurant is unassuming from the outside but worth a visit.
I would give this place five stars, but HappyCow (understandably) reserves five starts only to fully Veg/Vegan places, which this is not, since they do serve meat.
We have been going to Phil's for more than a decade, and it is a favorite of our kids. Many vegan/vegetarian options that are very tasty. Phil, the owner, is very aware of food restrictions and will ensure that your meal is vegan.
