They had 2 apps, 2 ramens and 1 dessert that were vegan. I had 2 apps and 1 ramen and they were all PHENOMENAL! Highly recommend. Reservations are required.
If only this place was 100% Vegan, it would be perfect. Chef Barry actually helps serve table-side, spooning warm miso-umeboshi sauce over the Beet Carpaccio and grating fresh truffles over the ramen. His dishes are thoughtful and expertly prepared. There are two starters and two entrees, and you'll want to get all four. I wish I had taken pictures as everything was gorgeous. The service is perfection, with flatware being changed out between courses, for example. The ambience is simple and warm. There is very little in the way of good vegan food in St Augustine, so being able to sit down for a beautiful meal was a highlight of our trip. The prices are consistent with the quality.
Two fully vegan ramens and a couple of appetizers. The creamy vegan “tonkotsu” broth was excellent and extremely close to the texture of tonkotsu ramen. The vegan egg ajitama was crazy. Also had the mushroom based ramen and the chef personally came out and described where the truffle was from and shaved it on to the bowl. The chef is from a Michelin restaurant and it shows. Would give this five stars if HappyCow allowed it.
