Surprisingly good!

I went to Loosey's with an omni friend. Since it is first and foremost a bar and it serves typical bar fare, I was not expecting much, but was pleasantly surprised. As it turns out, our server was a vegetarian, so he was better equipped than most to answer my questions. The menu is clearly marked with vegetarian and vegan options. However I had the added issue of a wheat allergy. Our server was very knowledgeable and was happy to announce that the fries were fried in a dedicated fryer. So not only are the fries gluten free, but they are also truly vegan, as it is not the same fryer they use for the battered chicken and fish! Most restaurants don't bother to think about that. Our server went on to say that the kitchen is especially concerned about allergies/dietary restrictions, so they try to make as many things allergen free as possible.

Added to all of that was the fact that the (bun-less) burger and fries were delicious! The vegan burger sauce, which is a veganized McD's special sauce, was particularly tasty. I'm not used to getting anything other than ketchup and mustard with an impossible burger. Honestly, if I could, I would give this place 5 stars for the extra attention they give towards patrons with dietary restrictions.

Pros: Knowledgeable staff, They go out of their way to veganize menu items

Order the house-made veg burger.

House-made veggie burger is phenomenal. Sure they have the impossible burger but trust me the in house veg burger is better. This has been one of my late night go-to's for years now. Safe choice for vegans who want food after midnight. Also they do $6 (veggie) burger on Wednesday during happy hour ish times.

Edit: They have been offering weekend specials on a regular basis for some time now. All most every weekend at least one is vegan. Follow their social to know what they are.

Good burgers

They now have impossible meat. We got two vegan burgers with vegan cheese and potato buns. I got mine with avocado and lettuce and my partner got his with all the vegan toppings available.

I loved that they specify vegan or not on there menu. I’m always worried about buns that have milk or added butter. So that was nice peace of mind. They have other vegan options as well like a gyro and impossible meat chili. The fries are amazing too. Want to try the Brussels sprouts next time we go too (I think they were vegan).

Pros: Good options, Would be great please for group with mixed diets

Cons: Not very many option
