amazing flavours

the cakes taste amazing and the flavours are perfectly balanced, not too sweet, but just the right amount
the coffee is amazing too!!
only downside is how expensive it is compared to other cafés in seoul, but i think it's worth it for the experience

Food not great but the place is cool

We ordered the vegan protein brownie and a sweet potato bagel. Both quite expensive and definitely not worth the money.

Super expensive place but nice cakes

ATTENTION: the place is not on the happy cow’s map position. Be sure to search for it on NAVER or google maps.

It’s a super cool place where they serve some vegan stuff. I ordered a cake with super strange flavours but it was nice to taste something new. The bagels and the muffins are okeish.

The place is super expensive anyway so not super recommended even if the food is not bad per se.

Cons: The price

Very bad food, nice place

There is a sign there that says "if you want tasty food, by the basic", which is the non vegan options. You need to listen to this sign. I tried three different vegan options: apple pound cake, lemon pound cake, and cinnamon swirl.

Both pound cakes were just tasteless and bad. Like one bite and I was done. The cinnamon swirl was a bit better but so hard the fork could not cut it and I had to rip it with my hands. My wife wasn't strong enough to rip it.

And to this that you have to buy a drink per person. Spend one 20K KRW on food? Still need to buy drinks. Some places do this, this is one of them.

The atmosphere and staff are very nice, and the coffee was ok. Just don't go for the food and make sure everyone wants a drink.

Pros: Atmosphere , Staff

Cons: Food, Required drink per person

Just okay

Hip place with a lot of seats, right near Seongsu station. The strawberry lattes were okay, basically just strawberry jam with soy milk and the cake and bread were quite bland, nothing special really. Not many vegan places in Seongsu area so it’s nice to have someplace to have coffee at.

Edit: I went here again and asked for a soy milk matcha latte, the worker was a bit hesitant to make it because he said it might not taste good but I ordered it anyway and it was good.😄

nice service, meh breads

i like the idea of higher protein bread, but the macros on these are not good. some of the bread when eaten with no preparation have a weird texture and taste, but when air fried at home it makes a world of difference. the red bean bread was really good, but i didn’t like the corn one. the muffins are good but high calorie. i like how they tell you some macro info on the tags, and also you can find full nutrition info on their website.

often get a free bread as service, which is nice.

in a bakery with non vegan options so make sure to check you’re getting the right one!

Taste needs lots of improvement

I decided to try some vegan protein baked goods at Looop since it was on my way to a workout class nearby. I tried the a protein veggie bread roll, a protein chocolate muffin, a protein cinnamon roll, and an iced pear ginger tea (not pictured).

The veggie roll tasted the best out of the baked goods, but I wouldn’t eat it again. The chocolate muffin tasted a bit odd but I needed something light with protein so I ate most of it. I took the cinnamon roll to go and attempted to eat it later, but it tasted truly awful so I only had one bite. It was very bitter and left a bad aftertaste.

I went to Looop a second time to try one of the refrigerated cakes because I heard they tasted better than the baked goods on the shelf. My friend and I tried a chocolate avocado brownie cake with some berries and we both agreed that it tasted bad. It had an odd almost metallic taste that is hard to describe, but it was definitely not what a vegan chocolate cake or brownie is supposed to taste like. We tried the Orange Sunrise drink as well and sadly it also did not taste good or fresh.

At the counter, there was a man who I assume was some kind of manager or owner and he made sure to warn me both times that the items I chose would taste different since they were vegan. I told him that was fine with me, but after trying everything I’m honestly very disappointed that it tasted so off.

I’ve had so many delicious vegan breads and pastries in Seoul, but the ones at Looop were the worst I’ve ever tried. I hope they consider changing the recipes or something because I believe vegan desserts can be delicious by default, and they shouldn’t have to warn customers that their vegan products taste different from non-vegan products.

On the bright side, I appreciate that they clearly label all the vegan and non-vegan products in their shop. It’s also worth noting that they close quite late at 2am.

Pros: High protein options , Clear vegan labeling

Cons: Odd/unpleasant taste , No plant milks for drinks, Cold minimalist interior with fluorescent lights

You can get a vegan latte i guess?

The baked goods here are some of the worst things I've ever had in my life. To be fair, I've never tried any of the refrigerated ones

Vegans Need Protein

Not sure why most of their vegan items are noted as being Protein this and Protein that. I guess they belong to the "vegans need more protein" camp. Fair enough. I got a protein choc chip muffin because I haf alot of walking to do. I considered it a supplement not a muffin 😄. It was small but good. This place is huge but was empty. Too bad. Not sure why they use.2 names.. It is confusing.

Please make sure you check what is vegan!! Most is not.
